The wording is mine.
Thomas Esser put the teTeX *distribution* under GPL but not the
individual parts. This is what I wrote in the copyright file.

Thanks for your comment, Christoph.

I suspect it was good old days' license statement and
now it seems to be under more complicated license
statement.

Meanwhile I've contacted the upstream authors (namely Karl Berry) and
he confirmed that this was not a bug, but rather a missing feature.
It should be implemented in the latest texinfo.tex, which should go
into teTeX at next release. I'd prefer to leave that bug open, until
this texinfo.tex went into Debian and close then -- the bug is
already tagged "fixed-upstream".
Which version did you try? That texinfo.tex in teTeX or one from
upstream?

Yes, the new LICENSE.* files are more complex. I'll try to put some work
into that.

Bug#222682: tetex-bin: dvipdfm makes big delimiters disappear in this document

Package: tetex-bin
Version: 2.0.2-5.1
Severity: normal

Hello,

At http://www.eecs.harvard.edu/~ccshan/debbugs/dvipdfm/ are a
single-page DVI file and the PDF file produced from it by dvipdfm. The
\bigl and \bigr delimiters in equation (30) mysteriously disappears in
the PDF output.

Thank you,

Same here. Could you try to make a minimal LaTeX document, so that
analysis of the problem would be easier?

Hello,

The problem seems to be triggered by the class file I am using,
sig-alternate.cls (for ACM proceedings). A minimal test document is at

    http://www.eecs.harvard.edu/~ccshan/debbugs/dvipdfm/cwmin.tex

The class file is at:

    http://www.eecs.harvard.edu/~ccshan/debbugs/dvipdfm/sig-alternate.cls

It's not the most up-to-date class file in the world... come to think of
it, it doesn't use NFSS.

I hope this helps, and thank you,
	Ken

Thank you very much. In fact it was easy to minimize the class (the main
problem was in the first 10 non-comment lines). So the real minimal
document is:

\documentclass{minimal}
\usepackage{amsmath}

\renewcommand\normalsize{\fontsize{9pt}{10.5pt}\selectfont}

\begin{document}
Big delimiters: $\bigl[ \bigr]$ End of test.
\end{document}

With pdflatex, the braces are shown, with latex->dvipdfm not.

Hm. The README file for dvipdfm says

Bug#222682: tetex-bin: dvipdfm makes big delimiters disappear in this document

Dear Mark,

in the Bugtracking System of Debian GNU/Linux we have a report about an
error in dvipdfm.

The following minimal document:

\documentclass{minimal}
\usepackage{amsmath}

\renewcommand\normalsize{\fontsize{9pt}{10.5pt}\selectfont}

\begin{document}
Big delimiters: $\bigl[ \bigr]$ End of test.
\end{document}

runs fine through LaTeX as well as pdfLaTeX, and the display is as
expected. But if one runs dvipdfm (v.0.13.2c) over the dvi file, the
delimiters (braces) are missing.

Do you know about this issue?

Thank you, Frank
