Bug#350831: Wrong dependencies: kopete vs. libmeanwhile0 in unstable

Package: kopete
Version: 4:3.5.0-3

 Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade from KDE 3.4 to KDE 3.5 and I found the
following problem with dependencies:

Kopete depends on libmeanwhile0, but it is not installable. There is
a package called libmeanwhile1. Is this a wrong dependency?

  The _exact_ error message is:

  kopete:
Depends: libmeanwhile0 (>=0.4.2) but it is not installable

I am running Debian sid on i386.

  Regards,
     Sergio

Bug#350851: kmail: v1.9.1: Data loss w/disconnected IMAP (reported upstream)

Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.0-5
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

KMail 1.9.1 seems to have a serious data loss bug with disconnected IMAP accounts. It's been reported
upstream at <http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104956>. I couldn't
find this mentioned in the Debian BTS already, so I thought I should file it so Debian can track it as well, and
prevent it from entering testing. Please forgive me if
this isn't the proper thing to do. I tried to add debian-qt-kde <at> lists.debian.org to the Cc list, but it's
not registered with the KDE Bugzilla, so I can't.

Bug#350899: kdebase-dev won't install without removing GNOME packages.

Package: kdebase-dev
Version: Package confilicts with a number of GNOME packages including gamin...
Severity: important

When attemtping "apt-get install kdebase-dev" you are warned that a number of
GNOME packages will be removed (including but not limited to) gamin,
gnome-screensaver and mail-notification. The "gamain" package seems rather
important. I don't knos if it's part of the base install of GNOME so I'm
afraid to proceed with the installation of kdebase-dev (which is needed in
order to complie KDE themes from source).

When I start akregator, it works OK. But when I close it from systray,
it always crashes with signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

What I think you need to do is explicitly install libgamin-dev along with
gamin. It 'provides' libfam-dev, which should satisfy the needs of the
packages you found apt-get wanted to remove.

Let us know if this resolves the issue, and then we can close the bug.

Thanks,
Christopher Martin
