Bug#709131: Kwrite: No indication of an error when lacking read permission to open a file

Package: kwrite                          
Version: 4:4.8.4-1

Hi,

When kwrite is used to open a file to which the user does not have any permissions, kwrite does not give any
indication to the user that it cannot read the file due to lack of permissions. Instead kwrite  just shows
a blank document misleading the user that the file was successfully opened and that the file contains no data.

For example, when a regular user (not root) tries to open the following file the above-described behavior
is observed.

Bug#674446:

I also noticed that when I have this problem I hear a click of my harddrive.

I have three of them, and since only one is used I presume the two others go to sleep. So, when they sleep and I open my dropbox I hear a click sound like one of the sleeping disk is waking up and this transition from sleep into non-sleep is causing the dolphin to hung.
