Hmmm... Didn't it use to the be just the "Debian conference"? (Note the
missing "developer".)

100? Then why does
https://penta.debconf.org/dc8_schedule/events.en.html only list ~50?
(Even if there are really 100 events, you get to the above list by
clicking the link you have later in your press release; and that will at
least lead to confusion.)

Any "community celebrities" which could be mentioned?

If you use en_US (which the rest of your mail seems to be) it's
organizer. (Did a native speaker already looked over that? They always
detect some germisms ;)

s/of the organizer team/,one of the conference organizers,/

reads better to me as an en_US speaker/reader.

Stream urls will be:
http://video.debconf.org:8000/salon_del_mar.ogv.m3u
http://video.debconf.org:8000/microcine.ogv.m3u

(plus also the extra geo-specific ones Ganneff wrote in DPN, though I
don't know about putting all of those in the press release.)

(Ignoring that it wasn't Ganneff who wrote it in the DPN.)

Please, don't mention all URLs. Set up _one_ page with all the details
and point there from the press release.

That page should contain:

- All URLs (main one, na, eu and au, for both streams)
- the schedule (preferably with timestamps in UTC)
(- if you need anything outside etch, an explanation how to what to do
to view them)
- Which irc channels to join to participate in discussions

We had that in Mexico; worked very well.

Yours sincerely,
  Alexander

My bad. He had asked us for which to use, so I assumed it was him.

I haven't the time to do this at the moment. What is the Press Release
deadline?

Last year's press release also said "developer" but I am happy to
drop that.

I think the list is not yet complete, but I hope it will be by the
time we send this out. I would also prefer to link to one page with
all events, rather than one where you have to click all over to see
what's up.

Wait... We are crossing time zones. Which tomorrow night? Could I
please have an estimation, when you expect me to send it to the Debian list?

(I'll be absent tomorrow between 10:00 and 18:00 UTC.)

Minor question: When sending it to Debian's announce list, should we set
a reply-to press <at> debconf.org (you might get some bounces there; is
press <at> dc.org still a tracker? Will bounces hurt?)

Yours sincerely,
  Alexander

No strong feelings about it; just thought that it had been discussed...
uhm... three years ago? But if you decided otherwise in the meantime.

I just fear, that some might be confused when reading about 100 events,
look at the list and well - the list just looks to short to be 100. You
