Setting up a local users group

Hi, I'd like to set-up a Debian local users group and I was wondering
if it was ok to use the name DebianPH.org or debianph.org to refer to
our group?

Hi Joerg,

This use-case was already covered above without RT and BTS usage.

Do you really want that initial root login password flying in
plaintext until it reaches a private RT? What's the point of a private
RT then? mitm attack here is trivial, to say the least. As i said,
nobody should send it to BTS, RT or email directly in plaintext, these
sensible information might be sent by mail, out of the tracker and
encrypted. The tracker is still valid here because the issue title
would be something like "sponsored machine setup" and its status
should be available for anyone (not the server password itself, come
on), or at least any Debian developer, IMHO.

I'm not sure. Wouldn't it inevitably lead to campaigning for
nominations before the campaigning period?

Even so, I reckon at least three candidates campaigned early this
year, so maybe it's time to rethink the campaigning period. The more
zealous politicians run amok already because it isn't enforced. Is it
time to run up the white flag and admit the project has politicking
and various popularity contests 24-7-365?
