Does it work any better if you do `gvfs-mount ftp://ftp.blip.tv` and then use
the gvfs-* binaries?

I dunno :)

hedges <at> maggie:/var/log$ gvfs-mount --detail
ftp://ftp.blip.tv
Enter password for ftp on ftp.blip.tv

Error mounting location: Unexpected end of stream

If it has something to do with using gvfs now, maybe it
does mean another "viewer."

Probably the ftp server refuses any query for directory
information. This seems to be okay in filezilla, which lets
me drag files to the folder.

Bug#580922: gnome-keyring is not unlocked when auto login as specific user is enabled

Are you sure? I've had a similar setup for years (i.e. gdm auto login)
and I remember I always had to enter my password when applications
like Eovlution requested access to the keyring. Yes, this made auto
login quite pointless, so I changed back to normal login which indeed
automatically unlocks the keyring.

We need a backtrace to debug crashes.
See http://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace

You can also install bug-buddy, which will generate them for you.

Bug#584128: gweled: menu detaches from main window

Package: gweled
Version: 0.7-2
Severity: minor

During a (vain) attempt at pausing the game, I noticed that pressing the
spacebar does something rather unexpected: the menu bar detaches from its
parent window, and relocates to the top-left corner of the screen. Pressing
space again (assuming the menu has focus) makes the menu bar return to the
window. Nothing special happens when you press space for a third time.

I struggle to think of a situation where this could be considered a
feature, rather than a bug. :P
