I agree that we should go with the patch as it is now. Some small janitorial things are still left to do: 1) I believe most of the 'theory of operation' explained way up by Owen should go in the a comment somewhere, maybe the doc comment for _gtk_widget_synthesize_crossing. 2) The GtkPrivateFlags changes need to be reflected in the registration of the enum type in gtktypebuiltins.c(Continue reading)
