etch RC1 and brltty for rescue

Hoppa Debian Accessibility readers,

I get the latest etch netinstall CD and install the amd64 System with
braillesupport.

But, during the install I have an error with the lilo/grub and
finished the install without a bootloader.

Can I run the rescue mode of this cd with braillesupport?

I try:

rescue brltty=bm,ttyS0,de

but not happens. :-(

Can everybody tell me how I start the braille in rescue mod?

Thanks and

This works for me with today's mini.iso. Could you either try the latest
daily build or tell us more precisely which image you are using?

I use the netinst cd for amd64 rc1.

on the morning, I try it again and it's work fine.

debian-installer not alterable at USB Braille display

Hi,

I started the installation of the daily-built image of 12-12 with my
Braille display that was connected to the computer via USB. At the boot
prompt, I pressed enter and the Braille display was recognized indeed.
However, BRLTTY was started with the American text table. When I chose
Germany for language and keyboard layout, the hardware detection was
started.

Samuel once provided an image where one could choose the text table and
where the appropriate one was suggested by default. Wasn't this feature
adopted for the installer?

What do you mean by this?

It was considered too complicated, compared to just enabling the
preference menu.

I install the debian etch system with the:

debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso

From 10.12.2006.

During the installation the braillezeile (vario 40) is on ttyS0. After
a reboot, all work fine.

Now, I install the vario 40 on ttyUSB0 with a serial2usb converter.
When I restart the computer, brltty didn't start my braille terminal.
I must typing:

brltty -d /dev/ttyUSB0 -b bm

and the braille terminal starts.

I write this options with:

brltty -f /etc/brltty-conf -d /dev/ttyUSB0 -b bm -t text.de.tbl

Was it properly installed at least?

Could you give us the /etc/brltty.conf file that was generated?

Do you have a /etc/rc2.d/S25brltty symlink?
