Hi Jamie,

the upstream developers rejected your patch as stated in [1]. Your patch
doesn't apply any more in Audacity 2.0.0. Can you address upstream's
comments and supply an updated patch?

Excellent idea.  AFAIUI, this instructs lintian to check for certain
strings in the binaries, which seems to be the right approach for
this. The chosen strings make sense to me after short cross checking
with the source.

Andres, AFAIUI, we can and should now request the libav-extra source
package to be removed from debian/unstable, is this correct?

I think the best timing would be to wait until libav 0.8.1-4 reaches
wheezy, (which will probably require a hint for britney from the
release team, CC'ed for this reason) and then have libav-extra removed
from unstable as well.
