adding SLES10/x86_64 to supported list

Hi,

I'm interested in getting SLES10/x86_64 adding to the supported list. I
see the OS detection (SLES.pm) is already in trunk, so it looks like the
next step is to respin the various rpms for the
<package>/distro/sles-10-x86_64/ dirs?

Re: adding SLES10/x86_64 to supported list

Hi Greg:

Chris Heller from Intel is/was working on SLES10 support for OSCAR,
you might want to check with him to see what his progress is.

But you're correct, the next step would be to build RPMs for the
various packages on SLES10 x86_64.

Cheers,

Bernard

pre-oscar RPM list

Guys:

Is there a reason why the pre-oscar RPM list is sorted alphabetically?
I find that some times my pre-oscar RPM list will end up having some
OSCAR packages and it may be more convenient if the list is sorted by
install time such that I can manually update the list so that
start_over will work correctly.

Anybody oppose me changing how the list is sorted?

Thanks,

Bernard

OSCAR / Ganglia / C3 cluster model

Howdy !

I am relatively new to OSCAR and thus have some basic questions
after unsuccessfully browsing this archive:

(01) Is there an integration point between these three pieces
     wrt the cluster model ?
So far I have found that C3 uses /etc/c3.conf to model the cluster. OSCAR has its
ODA. Ganglia I believe keeps a cluster model solely in
memory (I might be wrong here.).

If not, how do people manage to keep a consistent view of the cluster
across these three pieces ?

Thanx,
Matthias
