Any more input to procedures draft?

I'm going to produce another revision of the procedures draft in a few days which will expand the TBA
sections in the current draft and incorporate the suggestion(s) received to date. If anyone has any
additional comments on draft-ietf-urlreg-procedures-01, PLEASE post them to the list as soon as
possible. Thanks in advance.

Hello Rich,

I reviewed the "procedures" and the "guidelines" draft recently. Because I'm
traveling, I don't have them at hand. But I very clearly rememeber one
comment that I wanted to make:

The procedures draft, for the registration, should mention "character encoding
considerations" as one of the points that a registration has to list.
This would e.g. mention whether the URL uses UTF-8 (of course with
%HH-encoding)
directly (e.g. applicable for URNs, which are however not covered by your
draft),
whether the URL uses UTF-8, and translation to what is used on the wire is
given (e.g. IMAP URL), whether UTF-8 is strongly suggested, but cannot be
guaranteed (i.e. FTP), or whether no reliable information is available
(e.g. current HTTP).

Regards, Martin.
