Re: wglc for draft-ietf-pim-port-03

Sorry guys for being so late responding to your comments. I hope you
will be faster responding to mine :)

Thomas, I will post a new revision in a few days with pretty much what
you asked for.

Dimitri, hope you can give me some feedback on the comments/questions
I had in response to yours. It would be good if could figure out what
further changes are needed by Friday next week, so that I can submit
a new version.

FW: New Version Notification for draft-liu-pim-single-stream-multicast-frr-00

Hi all,

We've submited a new draft discussing about multicast frr issues, which could be found at
http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-liu-pim-single-stream-multicast-frr-00.txt
It makes use of PIM dual join to setup primary and backup paths, but takes the data forwarding only through
one of them.

We appreciate your comments on it.

Best Regards,
Liu Hui

New Draft Notification for draft-zheng-pim-multicast-pm-config-00, please comment//

Hi all,

We've submitted a new draft "PIM Multicast Performance Monitoring Configuration (M-PMC) Join Attribute", here is the link: http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-zheng-pim-multicast-pm-config-00.txt

This draft introduces a new type of PIM Join Attribute which carries measurement configuration TLVs, which are used for multicast performance monitoring. It is based on [RFC5384], and specifies additional procedures to process the Multicast Performance Monitoring Configuration (M-PMC) attribute to implement automatic performance monitoring configuration on multicast forwarding tree.
Any comments and suggestions are appreciated!

BR,
Vero

Hi Vero,

Your proposal achieves to similar to what is achieved by this WG draft:
http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-pim-pop-count-02

What's different?
Cheers,
Rajiv

Re: Agenda for Maastricht pim wg meeting

The latest and probably final agenda is:

Meeting slot: Tuesday 1710-1810

Agenda bashing, document status, revising RFC 4601 Stig 15 min
draft-ietf-pim-port-03 wglc follow-up Stig 10 min
draft-wijnands-pim-neighbor-reduction-01.txt Ice 20 min
draft-zheng-pim-multicast-pm-config-00.txt Vero 15 min

The agenda is now pretty full, but if we have missed any requests or if
there are new ones, please contact us.

Vero-> To my understanding, Pop Count attribute is used to *collect* the various accounting and statistic
information for a multicast tree or a sub-tree.

The Performance Monitoring Configuration (M-PMC) defined in our draft is used to *configure* different
measurement entities for a multicast tree or a sub-tree to be monitored.

The goal which these two drafts try to achieve is different.
