[MEXT] calculating handoff latency in mobile ipv6 environment

i have installed ns 2.33 and added the patch mobiwan for supprting mobile ipv6. i ran some tcl scripts , and below is the trace file generated. can somebody help me to calculate the handoff latency, and if someone has awk or perl script to do so, please send me .

Re: [MEXT] calculating handoff latency in mobile ipv6 environment

If you want to calculate it, then it's as simple as 1+1=2.

If you want to measure it then you need to tell which link layer are you
going to use (wifi)? If yes then you could use the wireshark tool with
wifi extensions, on a separate measuring laptop, and look at the
timestamps of the wifi messages. Then you have to decide what does
"handoff" mean to you: from which message (wifi attach? IP RS?) until
which message (RA received? first data packet received?).

For other link layers (3G, WiMax) situation is similar, but you have to
tell, then you get advice.

For an imaginary (simulated, emulated) link layer, it is very hard to
tell you how to calculate it because it's very difficult to imaginate
the same thing that you do.

We could discuss.

[MEXT] I-D Action:draft-ietf-mext-nemo-pd-07.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Mobility EXTensions for IPv6 Working Group of the IETF.

Title : DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation for NEMO
	Author(s) : R. Droms, et al.
	Filename : draft-ietf-mext-nemo-pd-07.txt
	Pages : 16
	Date : 2010-12-20

One aspect of network mobility support is the assignment of a prefix
or prefixes to a mobile router for use on the links in the mobile
network. This document specifies how DHCPv6 prefix delegation can be
used for this configuration task. The mobile router plays the role
of requesting router, while the home agent assumes the role of
delegating router. When the mobile router is outside its home
network, the mobile router also assumes the role of DHCPv6 relay
agent, co-located with the requesting router function.

[MEXT] ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems (SenSys) 2012

Dear Sensys Community:

Sensys 2012 will be held in North America.

We are now soliciting formal proposals for hosting the event. Please
include the following in any submitted proposal.

- Details of the proposed venue - exact location

- Size and configuration of main auditorium for the conference itself.
Pictures are helpful.

- Size and configuration of demo/poster area. Since the demo/poster
session is a major feature of this conference, it is important to ensure
that we will be able to get a good space for this, with power, WiFi,
etc. Pictures are helpful.

- We anticipate having about 3 collocated workshops with SenSys, either
immediately before or after the event, with around 60 participants each.
Information on where these would be held would be helpful.

- Accommodation information and estimated price range. If accommodation
is not local to the conference itself, how local transportation would be
  handled.

- Travel information: Air connections to major cities, approximate
airfare from major cities on US East Coast, West Coast, Europe, and
Asia. Any other expected travel expenses from the airport to the
conference site.

- Details on proposed banquet/other meals and any other activities

- Information on who would handle local arrangements

- Any other information to make the case, why it's a good venue, local
interest, etc.

- We do not need a detailed budget at this time, though it may be good
to estimate costs for the venue so we can consider how it will impact
the overall conference budget.

Please send completed proposals to

stankovic <at> cs.virginia.edu

The proposals should be received no later than Feb 15, 2011
