draft-phelan-dccp-natencap-01

Hi All,

I've submitted a new version of draft-phelan-dccp-encap (-01). While
we're waiting for it to be posted, it's available at
http://www.phelan-4.com/dccp/draft-phelan-dccp-natencap-01.txt and diffs
from the -00 version are available at
http://www.phelan-4.com/dccp/draft-phelan-dccp-natencap-01-diffs.pdf.

The changes here basically add support for partial checksums. Comments
on the last version of the draft also discussed making changes for
automatic fallback from/to raw encapsulation, and adding how to use SRV
records and the like. I didn't include any changes for these things
because 1), I didn't think the schemes were all that well-baked and 2),
I thought that this draft was not the place to define some of these
things, especially the generic use of SRV records for DCCP. Further
comments to work out these issues will be appreciated.

I-D Action:draft-ietf-dccp-tfrc-faster-restart-06.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Datagram Congestion Control Protocol Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Faster Restart for TCP Friendly Rate Control (TFRC)
	Author(s) : E. Kohler, et al.
	Filename : draft-ietf-dccp-tfrc-faster-restart-06.txt
	Pages : 24
	Date : 2008-07-14

TCP-Friendly Rate Control (TFRC) is a congestion control mechanism
for unicast flows operating in a best-effort Internet environment.
This document introduces Faster Restart, an optional mechanism for
safely improving the behavior of interactive flows that use TFRC.
Faster Restart is proposed for use with TFRC and with TFRC-SP, the
Small Packet variant of TFRC. We present Faster Restart in general
terms as a congestion control mechanism, and further discuss Faster
Restart for Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) Congestion
Control IDs 3 and 4.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-dccp-tfrc-faster-restart-06.txt

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP at:
ftp://ftp.ietf.org/internet-drafts/

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.

Re: draft-ietf-v6ops-cpe-simple-security

Hi All,

At the end of the dccp meeting, James Woodyatt spoke about a document in
v6ops on home routers that needs some input about DCCP. Anyone with
anything to contribute please take a look (see message below). Include
James' address in your responses please, as he isn't a dccp list
subscriber.
