draft-shelby-core-resource-directory-00

Hi Zach & others,

This week I've been reviewing the CoRE Resource Directory draft and I have some minor questions/unclarities about it. It might be good idea to explain/resolve them in a future version of the draft.

3.1 - Discovery:

-if there are many RD, is there any policy about the RD which should be choosen by a node?

 - what happen if there is not any RDs available?

 3.2 - Registration:

- if many RD, the EP have to register itself to every RD? Is the information replicated between the different RD? the EP informs and have to update all of them?

- what is used the 'node identifier' for?

- is not possible to modify the 'EP Node Identifier' after registration?

3.4 - Validation:

- what if a node is an sleeping node and doesn't answer? what's the behavior of the EP?

4.1 - Resource Instance 'ins' attribute

- What's the difference between instance and end-point-name?

Cheers,

Oscar

Re: Fwd: New Version Notification for draft-shelby-core-resource-directory-00.txt

Thanks everyone for the helpful feedback, ideas and interest on the resource directory draft. This week I
am going to dedicate my time to releasing coap-07 and am on vacation after that, so forgive my silence on
answering questions about this draft for the next couple weeks. The intention is to take the feedback into
account and release a -01 rev in Quebec.

Fwd: I-D Action: draft-cao-core-aol-req-00.txt

A very simple draft yet, but easy to read and discuss.

Subject: I-D Action: draft-cao-core-aol-req-00.txt
To: i-d-announce <at> ietf.org

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.

Title           : Allways-online Requirement for Sleeping CoAP Node
       Author(s)       : Zhen Cao
       Filename        : draft-cao-core-aol-req-00.txt
       Pages           : 5
       Date            : 2011-07-04

CoAP is to enable a concept of web of sensors, but there are many
cases that the sensors are not always online and hence the requests
from the web client cannot reach them in timely manner.  This
document analyzes this problem and describes the requirements for a
CoAP enabled sensor to behave always online.
