I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-ason-routing-ospf-01.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Common Control and Measurement Plane Working Group of the IETF.

Title : OSPFv2 Routing Protocol Extensions for ASON Routing
	Author(s)	: D. Papadimitriou
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-ason-routing-ospf-01.txt
	Pages : 0
	Date : 2006-8-3

The Generalized MPLS (GMPLS) suite of protocols has been defined to
control different switching technologies as well as different
applications. These include support for requesting TDM connections
including SONET/SDH and Optical Transport Networks (OTNs).

This document provides the extensions of the OSPFv2 Link State
Routing Protocol to meet the routing requirements for an
Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON) as defined by ITU-T.

Last Call: 'Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS) Label Switching Router (LSR) Management Information Base' to Proposed Standard (draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-lsr-mib)

The IESG has received a request from the Common Control and Measurement Plane
WG to consider the following documents:

- 'Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS) Traffic Engineering
   Management Information Base '

- 'Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS) Label Switching Router
   (LSR) Management Information Base '
   <draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-lsr-mib-14.txt> as a Proposed Standard

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the

RE: Montreal draft minutes posted

Hi Adrian,

Towards the end of the meeting I requested you to pool WG on
draft-ali-ccamp-mpls-graceful-shutdown-04.txt, to become a WG Doc and
you gave me an AI to remind you of this via email. Please consider this
email as a follow-up on my action item, and an updates to the minutes.

Just a bit of back ground,

Before IETF/ Montreal, we posted an updated version of the Graceful
Shutdown draft (draft-ali-ccamp-mpls-graceful-shutdown-04.txt). In this
version we have addressed comments from Adrian, Dimitri, et al during
the WG meeting and have removed use of link-attribute sub-TLV from this
ID. The ID now makes use of (MAX-METRIC, 0 bandwidth) for communicating
graceful shutdown condition in IGP.

In the following steps recommended for this ID in the WG meeting IETF/
65 in Dallas, TX (copied from the WG minutes):

Zafar: What about graceful shutdown? Support for WG draft?
Kireeti: Graceful link shutdown to WG draft?
Small show of hands
No-one against
Dimitri: If the graceful link shutdown has the routing part fixed the
         support will be much greater
Kireeti: We'll do a poll on the list after the fixes.

We believe we have addressed the above mentioned condition from the WG
chairs. We will appreciate if you can ask the WG to accept this ID as a
WG doc (as part of other documents that you may have planned to pool

Two new communications from the OIF

Hi,

We have received two new communications from the OIF from their recent
meeting and in response to our communications on the OIF E-NNI and on
Ethernet traffic parameters. The latter asks a question of us, to which we
need to respond.

There appears to be no response to either of our communications on
draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-ason-routing-ospf-00.txt and on 1:n protection.

We still owe our thoughts on the OIF's interworking document so we should do
four things:

1. Answer the Ethernet traffic parameters question
2. Poll to find out whether the OIF has any input on
   draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-ason-routing-ospf-00.txt, pointing out
that the 01 revision is available
3. Poll on 1:n protection to see if we answered all of the questions
    satisfactorily
4. Send a response on OIF interworking

As usual, input is welcome on the list or privately. Deborah and I will post
draft text when we have it.

I will post the two incoming communications at
http://www.olddog.co.uk/incoming.htm

Thanks,
Adrian

Updated version of draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-rsvp-te-call

Hi,

We have just submitted an updated version of
draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-rsvp-te-call.

These changes result from:
- WG chair review by Deborah
- extensive post WG last call discussions on the CCAMP list.

Note that we polled the MPLS WG via the mailing list on the use of the
previously reserved bits in the Session object and received no comments.

Polling for new WG I-Ds

Hi,

As discussed in Montreal, we need to poll for a couple of new WG drafts.

http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-bernstein-ccamp-gmpls-vcat-lcas-04.txt
has been updated by the authors to provide further details and
clarification.

http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-caviglia-ccamp-pc-and-sc-reqs-02.txt
has been updated since the version discussed in Montreal.

http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ali-ccamp-mpls-graceful-shutdown-04.txt
has been updated as Zafar says in his previous email.

Please send yes or no for these I-Ds.

Reasons and opinions are also welcomed.

Thanks,
Adrian
