Re: I-D ACTION:draft-farrel-ccamp-inter-domain-framework-00.txt

Hi Adrian,

Sorry for the delay of my response.
I basically understand the intenstion of this draft.

I know the charter deals with the problem and development of both MPLS
and GMPLS. My concern is that there remains unclear what can be done for
MPLS and not be done for GMPLS, vice versa. I agree with the procedure
such that GMPLS inter-area/AS-TE framework is progresssed with MPLS
one in a single draft, however, I strongly request to describe the common
functions and differently supported functions more explicitely.

In terms of RRO text, I will send it later.

Regards,

tomo

Last call comments: draft-ietf-tewg-interarea-mpls-te-req-01.txt

Hi Jean-Louis et al,

I have reviewed the above draft quite carefully, and it is
a very useful document. Nice work!

There are several comments I have as part of last call, I'm
giving these below as technical and editorial, to make discussion
easier.

Thanks,
-Vishal
********************************************************************8

Technical
-----------

1. Sec. 1, Introduction.
"The set of MPLS traffic engineering tools," is probably better worded
as "The set of MPLs traffic engineering components," as the
phrase "MPLS traffic engineering tools" is liable to be confused
with planning and traffic engineering tools/software (a la
Netscope, NPAT, SPGuru, MATE, etc.).

2. In the same section, how are the components useful for
aggregated traffic measurement?
Is it because, OSPF-TE and IS-IS TE may be used to convey
parameters like aggregate link utilization? What else is
included here?

3. It would be good to have terms like "traffic engineering components",

Fw: AD-review comments on draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-ason-routing-reqts

Hi,

The AD (Alex) has now had a chance to go through the ASON routing requirements draft and
has a few comments we need to fix before the draft can go forward to the IESG.

Process:
- Please look at the comments with my notes, below, and
if there is any debate have it with me on the list (cc Alex).
- Please produce a new version of the draft BUT do not
  submit it.
- Bring the draft to me and persuade me that it addresses
   all of Alex's points.
- Submit the draft.

Thanks,
Adrian
