Registration is open for CalConnect XVI, October 5-9, 2009, at Apple in Cupertino, California

Dear Colleagues,

You may receive more than one copy of this notice if you are on multiple calendaring-related lists; our apologies.

Registration is now open for CalConnect XVI, October 5-9, 2009, at Apple in Cupertino, California.  Please see http://www.calconnect.org/calconnect16.shtml for logistics and registration information for the Roundtable and for the Interoperability Test Event.

The schedule for the week is posted on the logistics page, and we will announce topical agendas for the technical sessions and any additional or special sessions of interest as more material becomes available.

If you are planning on participating in the CalConnect Interoperability Test Event, it begins with breakfast on Monday morning the 5th at 08:00 and runs to noon on Wednesday the 7th.  As usual the Roundtable will begin with lunch at 12:30 on Wednesday the 7th  and run until early Friday afternoon the 9th.

Individuals who are not from member organizations may attend a single Roundtable to determine if their organization wishes to become involved in CalConnect.  An organization does not need to be a member in order to participate in the Interoperability Test Event.

See you in Cupertino!

Best Regards,

Dave Thewlis

CalConnect Timezone Workshop - Tuesday February 3, 2009

This message is being sent to the relevant IETF lists.  My apologies if you receive it multiple times, but many people are registered to multiple lists.   Dave Thewlis.

CalConnect will host a one-day Timezone Workshop on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington. This workshop is intended for and open by invitation to parties with an interest in Timezones, how they are currently implemented and managed, and what to do about them in the future. We particularly want to attract representatives of other industry and technology areas to gain a broad perspective on the problems with Timezones as implemented today, and the relevance of our proposed direction. You do not need to be a CalConnect member to attend the workshop. Please see Timezone Workshop for more information, and to request an invitation to the event.

Quick Reminder: CalConnect Roundtable X and Interoperability Test Event -September 17-21, Cambridge, Massachusetts

A quick reminder that the CalConnect Roundtable and IOP test  event is only about three weeks away, and the registration fee for the Roundtable goes up (a little) after September 3rd.  Hotels rooms appear to have become predictably scarce, but don't let that dissuade you.  We hope to see you at M.I.T.!

Logistics and registration information may be found at http://www.calconnect.org/roundtable10.shtml and at http://www.calconnect.org/iopseptember2007.shtml

If you are not currently a member of the Consortium, you may attend a single Roundtable, or a single IOP test event, as an observer; see http://www.calconnect.org/observer.shtml for more information.
