Protocol Action: 'Algorithms for Internet Key Exchange version 1 (IKEv1)' to Proposed Standard

The IESG has approved the following document:

- 'Algorithms for Internet Key Exchange version 1 (IKEv1) '
   <draft-hoffman-ikev1-algorithms-03.txt> as a Proposed Standard

This document has been reviewed in the IETF but is not the product of an
IETF Working Group.

The IESG contact person is Russ Housley.

Technical Summary

The required and suggested algorithms in the original IKEv1
specification do not reflect the current reality of IPsec market. It
requires allowing weak security and suggests algorithms that are
rarely implemented. This document updates the original specification
and is intended for all IKEv1 implementations.

Working Group Summary

This document is not affiliated with any WG, although the IPsec WG did
have the opportunity to review it. In fact, it was modified based on
some comments posted to the IPsec WG mail list.

Protocol Quality

This document was reviewed by Russ Housley for the IESG.

I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-mobike-design-01.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IKEv2 Mobility and Multihoming Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Design of the MOBIKE protocol
	Author(s)	: T. Kivinen, H. Tschofenig
	Filename	: draft-ietf-mobike-design-01.txt
	Pages : 32
	Date : 2005-1-3

The MOBIKE (IKEv2 Mobility and Multihoming) working group is
developing protocol extensions to the Internet Key Exchange Protocol
version 2 (IKEv2) to enable its use in the context where there are
multiple IP addresses per host or where IP addresses of an IPsec host
change over time (for example due to mobility).

I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-xcon-floor-control-req-03.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Centralized Conferencing Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Requirements for Floor Control Protocol
	Author(s)	: H. Schulzrinne, et al.
	Filename	: draft-ietf-xcon-floor-control-req-03.txt
	Pages : 18
	Date : 2005-1-3

Floor control is a means to manage joint or exclusive access to
shared resource in a (multiparty) conferencing environment. Thereby,
floor control complements other functions -- such as conference and
media session setup, conference policy manipulation, and media
control -- that are realized by other protocols. This document
defines the requirements for a floor control protocol for multiparty
conferences in the context of an existing framework.

This is the second release of a iCalendar. After having learned from
RFC-2445. This document represents the common objects needed for
calendaring. VTODO, VJOURNAL, VTIMEZONE, recurrence rules, and
scheduling and their associated properties have been removed. These
removals are expected to appear in new memos at a later time and will
be independent extensions of this specification. The new EXTENSIONS
property will exist to allow for compatible sets of extensions.

	Author(s)	: D. Jevans, P. Cain
	Filename	: draft-jevans-phishing-xml-00.txt
	Pages : 37
	Date : 2005-1-3

Phishing, a broadly-launched social engineering attack in which an
electronic identity is misrepresented in an attempt to trick
individuals into revealing credentials, is expanding on the Internet.
Corporations, Service Providers, consumer agencies, and financial
institutions have started to collect and correlate phishing attack
information to better plan out mitigation activities and to assist in
prosecution. Early on it became obvious that a common format for the
data reported or exchanged between this parties was necessary.

automatically upon a PROPFIND/allprop request. This specification
defines a method to add specific properties to the set of properties
returned upon PROPFIND/allprop.

I-D ACTION:draft-pandey-osidirectory-ipv6-nsapa-format-00.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.

Title : OSI Directory IPv6 NSAPA Format
	Author(s)	: A. Pandey
	Filename	: draft-pandey-osidirectory-ipv6-nsapa-format-00.txt
	Pages : 0
	Date : 2005-1-3

The X500 Directory specifies an encoding of Presentation Address,
which utilizes OSI Network Addresses as defined in the OSI Network
Layer standards [CCI88] [ISO87a]. X500 Directories not being heavy
users of OSI Session layer services can be run in a pure TCP/IP
environment. This is possible by incorporating minimal OSI
presentation and session layer services in the X500 Directory, thus
allowing the X500 Directory to run in a pure TCP/IP environment.

I-D ACTION:draft-srisuresh-ospf-te-07.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.

Title : OSPF-xTE: An experimental extension to OSPF
			  for Traffic Engineering
	Author(s)	: P. Srisuresh, P. Joseph
	Filename	: draft-srisuresh-ospf-te-07.txt
	Pages : 48
	Date : 2005-1-3

This document defines OSPF-xTE, an experimental traffic engineering
(TE) extension to the link-state routing protocol OSPF. OSPF-xTE
defines new TE LSAs to disseminate TE metrics within an autonomous
System (AS), which may consist of multiple areas. Further, When an
AS consists of TE and non-TE nodes, OSPF-xTE ensures that Non-TE
nodes in the AS are uneffected by the TE LSAs. OSPF-xTE generates
a stand-alone TE Link State Database (TE-LSDB), distinct from the
native OSPF LSDB, for computation of TE circuit paths. OSPF-xTE is
versatile and extendible to non-packet networks such as SONET/TDM
   and optical networks.

	Filename	: draft-schlitt-spf-classic-00.txt

	Date : 2005-1-3

E-mail on the Internet can be forged in a number of ways. In
particular, existing protocols place no restriction in what a sending
host can use as the reverse-path of a message. This document
describes a protocol whereby a domain can explicitly authorize the
hosts that are allowed to use its domain name in a reverse-path, and
a way for receiving hosts to check such authorization.
