Wormux 0.8a1 cores on FreeBSD 6.1

Hi all,

I didn't manage to run wormux 0.8alpha1 on my FreeBSD system (x86),
the screen flickers, then the program crashes.

If you need the core I can send it, I configured wormux using --enable-debug
to gather the following traces:

Salut,

J'ai oui dire que vous cherchiez de l'aide pour vos bruitages.
Je voulais savoir de quoi il retournait exactement et serait prêt à vous

Salut!

Effectivement, nous avons besoin d'aide pour les bruitages !! Le jeu en manque
cruellement à pas mal d'endroit, notamment pour certains armes. Certains autres
sont probablement à refaire (bruit de pas notamment), il manque également des
petites phrases assassines lancées par les personnages.

Donc voilà, nous sommes à la recherche de toute personne capable de faire des
sons (encodées en Ogg Vorbis stéréo 44100Hz, mais ça c'est du détail) qui
correspondent. Les suggestions sont bien évidemments les bienvenus sur les
endroits où il manquerait potentiellement du son :-)

Dans un premier temps, je peux m'occuper d'intégrer dans le jeu les sons
fournis. Tout ce qu'on peut faire actuellement dans le jeu, c'est jouer un son,
le jouer en boucle, le jouer N fois, l'arrêter. Evidemment, plusieurs sons
peuvent être joués en même temps.

peux également communiquer avec nous par IRC (irc.freenode.net #wormux).

Wormux Crash

Love your game.

Got a random crash.  Launched a GNU and my character and the GNU fell into the water about the same time before the GNU exploded.  The game crashed back to gnome and i got this in the console.

o MSG: Firebird has fallen in water.
o MSG: The Gnu left the battlefield before exploding

map/ground.cpp:66: Missed assertion "!world.EstHorsMondeXY(pos.x, pos.y)".
Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

I'm running Ubuntu 6.6 LTS fully updated + Wormux 0.8 alpha compliled from source using the library versions recommended here http://www.wormux.org/wiki/Instructions_to_compile_Wormux_source_code.php


also ever time i use a riot bomb i get this in console. 
o Loading sound profile share
Sound error: File /usr/local/share/wormux/sound/share/../../weapon/sound/riot_bomb_exp.ogg does not exist !

I suspect the sound was perhaps forgotten. 

If more information is needed please ask as I didn't see and specific instructions for how you wished to have bug reports sent.

Thanks Josh for this report !

I will try to reproduce this bug and if i can confirm, i will open a bug 
report in gna. Just for information, if the riot bomb explode into water, we 
have the same issue but we have already fix the trunk version.

Don't matter for the missing sound of the riot bomb, we are already aware of 
this bug :)

back for some feedback:

I used the svn repository, had some trouble with the autotools stuff,
but finally managed to compile and run wormux !

here's the settings I used:

automake19
aclocal19
autoconf259
autoheader259

aclocal needed a -I  /usr/local/share/aclocal (mine was only using 
/usr/X11R6/share/aclocal).

find_tool_version() in autogen.sh was not working.

bash is not in /bin on FreeBSD so it would be nice to have a sh
script for autogen.sh

here's my diff for clean.sh
