Aquaduct

Hiyya, Hope someone can help please!? ALL I require is the (or a) 'auqueduct', for a game i am currently playing.

I have the 'nightly's', and it is there!, but that 'version' runs slow, very slow. I have downloaded ver 0.6.3. Again, runs really slow on my lappy. I have added many new .grf files, but none seem to include the ability to build a 'bridge' with water, or to include JUST the aquaduct for the 'Tool Bar'.

PS. the added industries, ie, Clay, Beer, Gravel, etc are ace, BUT i have No road vehicles to transport them!!! I've moved gravel by ship, but there are no carriages for trains, or by road!?! And how do I collect all the beer I'm producing?? lmao.

Please Help. Thank you.

Buses loosing garage w/buildonslopes

Hi,

I had problems when I build garages on slopes. The buses can't find
the way to servicing, they passed in front of the garage but don't
enter...

Did I find a bug?

I have been having an awful time with routing problems. I then
discovered that when a train enters a depot for service the orders are
reset to the 1st order rather then remembering the order that was active
when entering the depot. This is an impossible situation to manage since
there is no way to know which depot a train will enter and when. I am
sure this was not the case in previous versions as I've never had this
problem before.

Missing Feature

It seems that since installing 2.5 beta the feature that allows copying
of orders has stopped working. Was that feature removed?

OT/openttd - what happened to raise/lower/level terrain?

It's been a while since I last played TTD, but I'm sure I used to have
options for raising, lowering and levelling terrain? What happened to
those?

PBS Revisited

I am trying to use PBS but can't seem to find the right version. I
downloaded what is supposed to be 2.5 (http://www.ttdpatch.net/) but
when I put "pathbasedsignaling on" in my cfg file I get an error and it
says I'm using 2.0. So where is the correct version? Thanks.

running openttd on linux

I've built openttd on linux - how do I get it to run? I can start the
executable, but nothing happens.

Sorry about the misuse of this list - if anyone's interested, I'll be
happy host a mailing list for openttd.

Config Question

I recently had to reinstall my OS. In the process I lost the old config
file for TTD. I forgot what its called (which may be why I can't find it
in the docs) but I can't find the switch for the feature that determines
a path through intersections that allows multiple trains through at the
same time. Can someone point me to the right section? Thanks.

Re: AW: Comment About OpenTTD

Well, I play both. I love new features from OTTD, but I can't forget
TTDPatch multiples train acceleration and track over tunel.

Comment About OpenTTD

I moved to openttd, since it gets new properties and fixes faster than TTDPatch. Fastiness mainly is
because it's open sourcecode and anyone can modify it. Also because of this it has far more potential.

Re: TTD - executable version

Dear Mr. Fierens and everyone on the list

Just head to TT-Forums.net, scroll down towards the forum called OpenTTD Development and open the topic Gonozal_VIII's Patchpack r12180 (or possibly a later revision number). In the first post, you can find a link towards the Win32 Binary, which is a RAR-archive. Just add the original TTD image files (the five trg??.grf and sample.cat) to the folder /data and you can enjoy playing the game.

For this patchpack, you'll need copy_paste.grf, which can be downloaded from the same post as well. You will need 7Zip or WinRar to unzip the file. After unzipping, add it to the /data folder. As soon as this file is in place, you can play along.

Be advised, With this patchpack it isn't possible to play on the majority of the Network Servers available for OpenTTD. This is because they all run on standard OpenTTD builds. To play online or in a network, I advise you to download the latest stable version of OpenTTD from www.openttd.org.

Greetings,

2008/2/20, Erwin Fierens <fierens.erwin-LPO8gxj9N8aZIoH1IeqzKA@public.gmane.org>:
Dear Mr. Hagen,

I've read your posting about the many improvements on open TTD and would like to use that version with new PBS, passenger destinations etc, but on the forum I don't find a windows executable including them all, and I don't have a compiler myself ! Would you be so kind as to point me towards one, please, or maybe include your openttd.exe in a mail reply ? I would be most obliged !

Sincerely,

Erwin Fierens
