I agree fully with the suggestion that SD should have a community-forum. IMHO someone could make another video on youtube of the upcoming enhancements such as weather ..
oh.. and those skins look great.. !

more trackcreation info?

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a trackeditor or something?
I dont get it by looking at the xml-file in each track.

Would be great if someone could give my some information about the xml-creation?

Yep, that is true again. I think that was in the dev plans.

Hmm that is a nice idea I haven't thought of so far but I agree again
we could do something on the webpage about that. However I think the
Twitter part in the left column mostly serves this aim. Maybe we could
use it more frequently.

for updated graphic engine (because no dynamic reflection and static shadow), Brian has worked on OSG migration but not news for the moment.
PLIB is not good for dynamic reflection and shadow.

Well you can run practice sessions showing only results, no graphics
involved then. Runs really quick, I use this mode quite often.

Running a race with no graphics is a different question. I guess you'd
like to see how your robot interacts with other participants during a
race (overtake, let pass when lapped, etc). So I don't think running a
race with no graphics is really useful as for robot development.

However I think we should enable this feature when setting up a race.
So I've created a ticket (#308) for this request:

I read the tutorials, unfortunately torcs-trackeditor doesn't start here.
I was hoping SD uses a different editor?
Is it : SD/bin/sd-nfsperf.exe? <--- This one doesnt start here,too
(a command window opens for 1/4 sec and closes again)
none of the exes work (apart from speed-dreams.exe [2.0.0-a2-r3111])

May be it is a local problem?
I'm using MS Windows 7 prof. 64bit workstation
Intel Core2 Quad - Quadro CX

Any help is appreciated!

PS: I'm using 3dsmax for the whole track-modeling (including track-sections), if there is a workaround to import a final geometry ac-file, I would be interested in!

Trackeditor is a Java SW, you can get it from SourceForge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/trackeditor/

Beware though, I can't tell you where it saves files under Windows.
You must find it yourself :D
