Actually, I should've specified that it was Helen's
description of Ricky. Wouldn't want Sheriff Ricky to
put me in Jail or start shooting (see Bang! session).

As always Eugene, thanks for the write up, and thanks to everybody who
brought tasty, sweet treats. However, in response to the following:

All I have to say is "Pttthhhhhbbbbbttttt!" :-P

They're all just annoyed that I whupped them the first round, having
never played before, while starting with a handful of high cards, then
managed to duck everything on the second round for a total of 1 single
"bad" point. I will be more than happy to face any and all in a rematch,
but that night I had a friend at the other gaming group waiting with a
game I had asked to play. Some of you recall what happened last time
I ditched unexpectedly on the other group to play all night at Yahoo.
It involved an unhappy wife with a surprise birthday cake for me, and
frantic phone calls to find out if I was laying dead in a ditch somewhere.

While my taste in games tends not to match up with JC's all that much,
I rather liked Sticheln. Thanks for the introduction to it JC.

That's nice Jesse, but will you finish the rematch?

Also as regards "Tall Man", shouldn't you use something a tad more descriptive like maybe "Shark".  We could always make this individual wear a little button showing sharks on a feeding frenzy vs guppies.  Kind of a truth in advertising thing because for me "Tall Man" is just too innocuous.

Eugene  nice job with the anniversary and it has been a pleasure coming to this gaming group.  So much so in fact that I am rarely compelled to leave to go to a different group.  ;-)

Re: Session Report 02/27/06

And just for the Mare Nostrum players, I have an answer from the game designer himself concerning the Queen of Sheba. You can recruit mercs in a ennemy province that has troops, but you can not occupy/sack/convert until your military turn.
This means for instance that if you decide to recruit a merc in a province with an enemy fortress, you can. And if your military turn comes earlier than the province owner's, then your troop will be able to move. But if your military turn comes after the owner of the province, your unit will be lost...

So we basically played the right way. But Hank still cheated :)

I guess it wouldn't help to note that Ted "Tallest person at the
