Sony Screen Writer

A screen writer from Sony is coming and meeting us outside of Avery at
5 PM tomorrow (Sunday). Don't forget day-light savings! Anyway, come
and talk to her if you can. I'd especially appreciate it if we could
get some math majors, because I don't know much about the theory behind
the cube besides line up pretty colors.

My apologies on the database.
I pressed enter 3 times for the competition pre-registration because my
internet was lagging. Just to let you all know. Sorry!

Vegas Update

These big hotels have a lot of things going on, and so unless there's a
seven figure event, they may not take us seriously for some time.
Depending on the situation, we may host a regular competition in the
summer, and save the US National competition for December.

There is also the options to scrap the entire Vegas thing.

scrap the vegas thing, scrap the vegas thing!!  I don't know about anyone else, but December is a horrible month for me...  I know decisions can't be based on if a few people can't come though.  Ugh.

Re: Vegas Update

So you're saying scrap the Vegas thing in favor of pushing for August?

Re: Vegas Update

Yeah, I think more people could make it in August. December does
get too crazy with holidays and all. December would be the better
month for a local competition. Much as I love the idea of a Vegas-
based competition, I'm with Frank-- scrap Vegas :(

So I don't really understand. You guys are saying scrap Vegas because
it would be inconvenient for you? How do other people feel about this?

Re: Re: Vegas Update

I am saying that I think December would be a bad month for Nationals.  Holidays and what not.  Your post seemed like you wanted to postpone nationals until December so that it could be in Vegas.  I think that if you are still hoping to get 100 people together in Vegas, December is not the month to do it.
