Re: par value marker movement

I was going to file a Rails bug on this, but I can't reproduce this
behaviour on the latest Rails (1.3) or the prior version (1.2.2). Can you
send me email (not to the group) with a save file showing this bug?

Re: Learning to Play in London

As well as Swiggers, London on Board also has occasional 18xx games midweek.

They meet between Bank and Mansion House on roughly alternating Tuesdays and
Wednesdays.

Re: Learning to Play in London

Ah, I've not noticed anyone playing 18xx at London On Board, else I'd
probably go more often - normally I'm just there to pick up some games from
Paul, who runs both it and an online game shop - Board Game Guru I think
it's called.

I might post on their meetup and see if there's some people who'd be
interested in setting up a game then.

Re: Learning to Play in London

I think 18xx has been played three times or so in the last year. I'll be
happy to play any time I am going.

K3 rules?

Does anyone have the K3 Phase 4 rules available in its entirety? Would be most appreciated.

RE: par value marker movement

At the end of the SR, the companies are scanned for being sold out in the
order in which they appear in the Game Status window. Any upward token moves
are then executed in that order and follow the normal move rules. So I
suspect that the token order gets reversed only if a 'lower' company token
is on top of a 'higher' one. Or it could be the reverse...:-) Indeed we need
a saved file to prove that.
In any case, I would encourage to file it as a bug, so it will get proper
attention at some point.

Erik.

The tokens are supposed to be processed in market order, which winds up
preserving the same stacking.

I'm tempted, although I'm wondering what the usual pace of the game
is, how long it takes, and if I'm going to need anything.

Funny thing is, I was kinda looking for an 18xx fix this morning...

Re: 1861 PBEM - 1 player needed

Our four-player PBeM 1861 has proceeded at a lightning pace; its end of SR5 (all T5s bought, five majors
operating with about 75% of all shares bought, two minors still operating with a T3 and a T4) and in the next
two ORs we'll buy all the T6s and T7s (maybe crack the T8).

I think we've been playing for five weeks?
