Now uploaded to the Files section

Hi folks,

I've now uploaded my piecepack design to the Files section:
Files <http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/piecepack/files/> > Printable
piecepacks<http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/piecepack/files/Printable%20piecepacks/>>
BB's Piecepack

Since then, I've also expanded it to meet the specifications of the 9-suit
piecepack in the Sensible Expansions article (
http://www.ludism.org/ppwiki/SensibleExpansions), though I'm yet to export
it. I was wondering if people had played with these expanded piecepacks
and, if so, what their opinions of it were.

Cheers,

*Bill

Introducing myself; Piecepack designs

Hi folks,

I recently looked into the Piecepack in more detail and found it pretty
exciting. I've designed my own coins and tiles (I've bought dice and pawns
on Ebay) and I've attached them if you're interested (unfortunately I
stuffed up some of the line widths for the blank tiles).

With my friends or by myself I've played a few games: Fuji-san is a
favourite, I also enjoyed Zombies in my Piecepack and Galaxy Express from
the solitaires. Last night we played Delegate Dash and San Andreas, both of
which we took a while to understand.

Cheers,

*Bill

Piecepack site down?

Hi guys,

It seems like as of a day or two ago, I can no longer access ludism.org.
Going to a page, for example http://www.ludism.org/ppwiki/FourBlindMice ,
leads to connection timeouts.

Any ideas?

Ethan

daunting because explaining a game to someone and writting rules for the same game are two entirely
different beasts.

Hi Ken,

I've been reading the rules of Colonization. I'm confused about this sentence:

"If the value is lower then the last planet to be played in that system it is added to the sun."

what does it mean in practice? Should I place the tile ON TOP of the the null tile?

Game design merit badge

I just wanted to mention the Game Design Merit Badge the BSA is now offering:

http://www.geekosystem.com/bsa-announce-game-design-merit-badge/

I'm going to sign up as a merit badge counselor for it and encourage the boys to use piecepack in their designs.

This merit badge sounds like a great opportunity for piecepack to get some exposure.

Thanks,
Craig

Mesomorph games

Is Mesomorph Games dead? I sent in an order for a piecepack set 3.5 weeks ago and have heard nothing. Their
sales email address is not responding to my query either.

Thanks,

piecepack iPad app is out.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my piecepack app is out. It can
be downloaded for free at the app store:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/piecepack/id581537337?ls=1&mt=8

Feel free to send me layouts for games. I'll probably add a section on
my website with links to layouts that can be opened directly with the
app. And maybe it'd be useful to add those links to pages in the wiki
too...
