Updates for Gaelcon 2009

Sorry for those reading this across several platforms but I am hoping to reach as many people as possible.

Accommodation update for Gaelcon 2009 in D4hotels.

What is the shortest stroll to Gaelcon in the D4Hotel conventions centre?
Why it has to be from a hotel room in the Ballsbridge Inn and for those who are looking at booking in for the weekend
there is a 'Gaelcon price'. For the Saturday night the it is 79euro per room and for the Sunday night the price
is 59 euro per room.
To make sure you get this price mention Gaelcon when making your booking.

If you do not wish to stay in the hotel attached to the conference centre ( which Gaelcon is taking over for the weekend)
and are looking for other suggestions then there are listings on the Gaelcon website.

So how much for a weekend of glorious gaming at Gaelcon?

14 euro for a 1 day adult ticket and 28 euro for an adult weekend ticket for the 3 days.
7 euro for a 1 day child ticket and 14 euro for a child weekend ticket for the 3 days.

Child tickets are for those who are under the age of 17 and under and there are free Parental/Guardian Tickets
for parents and guardians who are not participating in the gaming festivities.

For any further information check our website http://www.gaelcon.com/gaelcon or email info@...

Wargames rules packs for battle tech, 40K and WHFB are up on the Gaelcon website in two formats for those who
are gathering thier armies to do battle.

Also there is an interim timetable up, please note that the timetable
which on the website may be subject to changes over the next 6 weeks.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Gaelcon 2009 Bring & Buy Stand

  Hi folks;

Following the success of last Gaelcon's Bring & Buy stand, and at
least partly due to the cubic metre of stuff still remaining in my
attic, we're going to run it again. After this year, in order to give
people's stashes time to recover, we will almost certainly NOT be
running it in 2010, so this is your last chance for a while to unload
things!

The arrangement is that you provide gaming stuff, we sell it at a
knockdown price, give 20% of the proceeds to the charity fund, and
give you 80%. If you want to give more than 20% - 50%, 75%, some folk
even gave 100% last year! - to the charity, that's obviously great.

We're trying to be (more) organised this year, so while we'll be
happy to take stuff from you at the 'con without warning, we'd really
like to get either the stuff, or at least a list of what you'll be
giving us, in advance. So if you have anything you'll like to sell or,
indeed, give away, for charity, please drop me a line at this address.
We can probably arrange some sort of meet-up/pick-up thing in the
Dublin or Kildare areas, or if you can drop off stuff at my workplace
near Fitzwilliam Street or home in Maynooth, that's cool too.

Hoping to see lots of you at Gaelcon!

  Drew.
