From what I can tell, you can turn up regardless, however your probably best served mailing joseph.cullen@... or joseph(dot)cullen(at)nuim(dot)ie , beyond that, I have no other details or contacts. He's talking about a little something called http://www.letschangethegame.org, a competition, backed by Cancer Research UK, to design and run a new ARG (Alternate Reality Game). You get to run a game *and* fight cancer! You don't have to be in the UK to enter and the initial required blurb is about 500 words. You do need a team of at least three people. Hi All, in a couple of weeks over 120 wargamers from around the world will arrive in Dublin city centre to play games over the weekend of the 2nd-4th November. If you're not competing at the event and would be interested in helping out for 1 (or more) of the three days please mail me ASAP. Responsibilities will include covering for trade stand staff, event photography, collecting and verifying score sheets plus general gofer duties. If you wish you can optionally offer to play a game of DBM in the case there is a bye or a no-show by a competitor (but this certainly not necessary). The venue has a full bar, there are generous lunch and dinner breaks planned and I am sure it will be a great social occasion. In addition the volunteers will receive complimentary event shirts and food. Unfortunately no other subsidy or expenses are available. Following the heats up to 4 quarter finals are run, in the knock out section, for which grid positions are determined by the points scored in the heats.
