Sillicon is seeking individuals interested in writing a RPG or LARP
for the convention. The convention will feature 8 slots for RPGs and 1
slot for the friday night LARP. If anyone is interested writing,
please contact me (preferably by email to graham.kavanagh <at> gmail.com )
by december 31st with the name of your scenario, the system (if any)
that it is to be run in, the aproximate number of players it will run
with, and a short (~70 words) blurb for flyers, and an optional longer
(150 words max) blurb for the website. Writers will be notified if
their scenario is selected for the convention no later than January
15th, and should ideally aim to have their scenario finished and ready
for playtesting by march 1st.

Sillicon 9 will run from March 30-April 1

Hi y'all,
I'm looking to get contacts for any Dublin Gaming groups who might be
travelling to Warpcon. I'm currently trying to organise a bus for Trinity
Gamers to go to Warpcon and the bus companies have promised us a
progressively better deal the more people we bring. I was wondering if any
of the other Dublin gaming groups would like to co-operate with us in hiring
a bigger coach (or more than one of them) to go to warpcon.

Obviously we'd need solid commitments before we can book a coach, but
hopefully we can put together a convoy to bring the Dubs to the Rebel
County.

Anyone interested, drop me a line and I'll see what we can arrange.

True, but the gamer bus from Dublin is (used to be) one of the Warpocn
staples. Trying to get a pint in during the stop off in Urlingford. Trying
to find the pub from last year that had the ring board. Playing Jenga on the
move using the built in Gyroscope....
I might have made the last one up.

we have funding for 15 people to head down, i reckon a good 12 or 13 of them

would be getting the bus. could you give me a ball park number at how much
you think it would cost, i can then ask people whether they would be would
like to head down on that bus or just jump an airlink or bus eireann. dont
see whether it could work out cheaper, i mean a return to cork is only 14
quid or so these days. anyway, mail me back and i'll see what people think.

That's why when WARPS stopped doing it themselves TCD did it off our own
bat. If anyone else wants in, that'd be great. Anyone at all? I have to
book the bus by monday.
