Ambiguous word "View"

 Hello, all.

In .po file, entry "View"is used for

a) Map View tab label
b) Button label at Property Editor -> "Tile" tab

and "_View" is used for

c) Main menu
d) Sub menu of main menu "Civilization", which means Map View tab

In Japanese translation, I want to use different words for a) and b), c)
and d),
same word for a) and d). So please set these words to "qualified
translatable strings".

Is the difference you need that between a noun and a verb?
Would the following suit you?
a) "?noun:View"
b) "?verb:View"
c) "?verb:_View"
d) "?noun:_View"

I've gone ahead and implemented this -- <http://gna.org/patch/index.php?1922>.

Assuming everyone's happy, I intend to commit this before 2.2.3,
minimising disruption to existing translations by manually patching
things up. Any translator wishing to use the new distinction once it's
committed will need to remember to edit it manually, it won't show up as
a fuzzy/untranslated.

Change of plan (see bug) -- to avoid disrupting 2.2.3, this won't happen
before 2.2.3. It will happen for 2.3.0, and probably 2.2.4. Also, I
won't do the patch-up, so it will cause fuzzies in existing
translations, to remind translators to review translations in light of
the new distinction.

To clarify the timeline for the fix: Freeciv 2.2.3 will be tagged on
Sunday 12, after which the code freeze on the stable 2.2 branch will
be lifted. The fix should be committed very soon after this to stable
2.2 and trunk.
