I'm manually marking some strings fuzzy for all languages

Some modifications to .po files have gone in without setting changed
strings fuzzy. I'm now in slow manual process of finding those strings
out and setting them fuzzy so it's easier for translators to check if
they are ok.
Most of those changes have touched both msgid and msgstr, so it is
possible that some (or even most) of them require no changing. Then
again. some modifications to msgstr may result in weird translations.

As I said, this is slow process. You may have to wait a while before
you get .po files with these fuzzy markings. This email is just to let
you know what is going on when number of fuzzies suddenly increases
for no apparent reason.
I'm working in alphabetical order, making changes to both S2_1 and
TRUNK. I'm going to commit first patch, ar.po -> da.po, soon.

Translations to include in GNOME desktop file

 freeciv.desktop contains 'Comment' entry. From
http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/ar01s05.html:
"Tooltip for the entry, for example "View sites on the Internet",
should not be redundant with Name or GenericName."

There is possibility to have localized versions of this. Currently we have one:
Comment=Turn-based strategy game inspired by the history of human civilization
Comment[no]=Strategispill inspirert av historien til menneskelig sivilisasjon

If you want localization for your language included, please send it to me.

 I'm going to add
Comment[fi]=Ihmiskunnan historian inspiroima vuoropohjainen strategiapeli
myself. Unless official translator objects, of course.

Re: Translations to include in GNOME desktop file

Hello!

Thank you for doing this and warning us!

I did the last translation update for Portuguese (European) so I guess I
qualify for doing the desktop entry. As such, here it goes.

Comment[pt]=Jogo de estratégia por turnos inspirado na História da
civilização humana

This reminds me I should update the game po... Thank you once again! Best
regards

I got caught by beta release in the middle of this process. Last .po
file I handled was ja.po. So .po files up to ja.po may contain some
strings marked fuzzy, when they should not be. Rest of the .po files
may have weird translations in use.
I'll continue this process when beta related things have been sorted out.

New Beta Release Imminent

A new beta release will be created at the end of this week. If you
want to update your translations for this release, please do so by
Sunday!

As Marko mentioned earlier, a 'beta5' release has recently been made,
but not announced. A fatal bug that crippled the release was found
just after it was made. Just ignore this one and focus on beta6!

Regards,
 ~Daniel

turkish localization

Hi,

Since I'm living in Turkey I would like to initiate a turkish localization
for freeciv.
I'm a german who settled down in Turkey, so my native language is german
but my turkish is not that bad ;-)

When I started to play the game a little bit on my opensuse 10.2
installation I noticed there
was no freeciv.mo file for turkish locale. I googled a little bit only to
find some comments
under a pardus community.

I had a look at the http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Translations page - no
turkish as well.

So at least I'd like to start a turkish translation - later on native
speakers could take over...

Roman
