TerraGear CVS compile problem under Cygwin

I am trying to build TerraGear using the current version of Cygwin. I have
downloaded the current TerraGear CVS version and am using the following
other packages:

gpc232.zip
gts-0.7.4.tar.gz
newmat11.tar.gz
plib-1.8.4.tar.gz
SimGear-0.3.9.tar.gz

All of these have already been compiled without errors and installed in my
/usr/local/lib directory. I then successfully executed:

./autogen.sh
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib" ./configure
make

Unfortunately, compilation goes for a while and then stops with the
following error:

Making all in MergerClipper
make[3]: Entering directory
`/usr/local/source/terragear/src/Prep/MergerClipper'

if g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../src/Include -I../../../src/Lib
-g -O2 -MT testmerger.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/testmerger.Tpo" -c -o
testmerger.o testmerger.cxx; \
then mv -f ".deps/testmerger.Tpo" ".deps/testmerger.Po"; else rm -f
".deps/testmerger.Tpo"; exit1; fi

Here are the files I had to change to compile TerraGear under cygwin :
http://frbouvi.free.fr/flightsim/cygwin.patch.tar.gz

Building models and positions

OK, I am going to register a membership to
http://www.nahb.org/

That is a home builder's web site, hopefully they have
digital data for home buildings in USA.

I am afraid they will throw me out of the door if I
bring up my request too soon. They have a local office
about 15 miles from my apartment in Tewksbury, MA.

My cousin, 2 years younger than me, recently became a
registered architect in Taiwan. I am 31 now. I am
about to get a CCIE certificate, have passed the
written part for more than 1 year and taken the lab
exam twice.

I am embarrassed to even think about talking to my
cousin about my idea of using their data to build our
simulator world. We, in USA, don't pay too much
respect to software engineers as scientists. In
Taiwan, it is worse. In Taiwan, flight attendants or
RN's make twice as much salary as a cutting-edge
technology engineer. A registered architect makes 10
times more money than a software engineer in Taiwan.
There is no such job title as "scientist" in Taiwan.

That's why I ended up in USA. I am just confused about
my life. I don't make less money than a registered
nurse or registered architect here in USA. I think all
the high-end technology graduates in Taiwan will end

How dealing with stopway ?

Hello,

I am trying to improve the realism of my favorite airport, with taxidraw.
I use Terragear to check the result before submitting the change to Robin Peel
Database.

Unfortunaltely one of my main problem is that Terragear do not take into account
the stopways.

My runway is well defined in the Robin Peel data base (X-Plane 8.10 and later
based upon DAFIF/AIRAC cycle 200510), exactly like defined in official
documents.
But the two stopways don't appears in FligtGear.

I could transform "stopway" distance in "Displaced Threshold" distance, the
result is very closed to real world (with the good mark on the stopways), but i
don't like the idea of modifying the data base to bypass a TerraGear "bug".

I propose the following modifications to Terragear code.
It works for one airport, I don't know for others.
It should, but perhaps people won't agree with this solution depending on what
they want to see at the place of the stopway.
In my case aerial photography show it like a Displaced Threshold.
Nowday, there is absolutly nothing at the place of stopway in FG.

I hope someone more accurate than me with this project, will propose the right
and definitive solution, to solve this problem.

Thanks to all of you, for the great job done, to develop and maintain,
FlightGear
