Crokinole Depot

Hello all,

If you are unaware, we (Jason and Ray Beierling) have finally
launched the Crokinole Depot website. www.crokinoledepot.com

On our site you will find the 2007 Crokinole Post newsletter, the
2007 Crokinole Depot Skills Competetion shots that were used at the
World Crokinole Championships at Tavistock ON, merchandise, and a
forum similar to this one. In the Forum there is a list of the known
upcoming crokinole tournaments for 2008.

Also, Joe Fulop has recently completed a book entitled "It Is Only
Crokinole: But I Like It." It is a must read for all Crokinole
players.

Sorry for the shameless self promotion, but more crokinole on the web
(or anywhere for that matter) is always a good thing.

Thanks for you time,
Ray

New player, new board

Hello,
I am an avid boardgamer, but new to crokinole. I am in the market
for my first board and I am considering many different types of
boards, but I am particularly interested in getting a Hilinski
board. I have sent an email to the addresses on their website, but
have received no response yet (5 days or so).

Based on things that I have read, it seems like many of the members
of this group are familiar with the Hilinskis (or may even be one of
the Hilinskis), so I figured that I'd ask here if there is a better
way to contact them or if I'm just over-excited about getting a board
and need to be more patient. I certainly realize that folks are busy
and not everyone checks their email as frequently as I do.

Of course, I'm open to any suggestions or hints for a new
player/board owner.

I look forward to playing more crokinole and participating in this
group.

Thanks,
Chad

Re: New player, new board

My board was made by them and they were very responsive. I'm wondering if
perhaps they were sequestered at the Gathering of Friends until Sunday.

Re: New player, new board

Thanks guys.
It turns out that my first email to them somehow didn't quite get
there. I pinged them again last night and they got right back with
me.

Re: New player, new board

We're still around and building boards. We run our own mail server and
we sometimes lose stuff to our spam filters.

We keep in touch with this group, so if you have problems getting in
touch with us, just post something here. We respond to every email.
