Presence Message

Is there any way to get the presence message of a JID?.

Something like jabber-get-presence?

New developers

I'm pleased to announce that Kirill A. Korinskiy (catap) and Detlev
Zundel (dzu) have joined the "team", and now have commit access to
jabber.el. This will hopefully make things flow a bit smoother ☺

As the current bug tracking system (which basically amounts to the
things I remember or happen to write down) will be insufficient, I'm
trying to revive the Sourceforge trackers. Find them here:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=88346
I also created a mailing list, emacs-jabber-bugs, where all bug
tracker messages go; it is called gmane.emacs.jabber.bugs on Gmane.
(There is already a CVS commit list, emacs-jabber-commit or
gmane.emacs.jabber.scm)

Some developer rules (well, they're more like guidelines):
* Almost everything should be in the NEWS file.
* Almost everything should be documented. Either do it right away, or
put a note in the NEWS file.
* Provide good defaults for customization options.
* This mailing list, the MUC room jabber.el <at> conference.jabber.se, and
the various trackers are good places to discuss things.

A challenge for whomever wants to try it: implement customization
options for setting up several accounts, and make jabber-connect use
it. Think about passwords, connection types, forced hostnames/ports,
etc. My own attempts result in me trying to overcomplicate and
overgeneralize everything…

Happy hacking!

jabber - bbdb integration

hi all

I'm wondering if you plan to integrate emacs-jabber with bbdb?

How do you think integration should be part of emacs-jabebr or bbdb? I think
bbdb, and you?

hm... I'm not experienced in such things... if check gnus and bbdb,
they both have references to each other, I'm not sure what is part of
what :-)

What kind of integration will it be?

Mathias Dahl -> Kirill A. Korinskiy   <at>  Fri, 3 Aug 2007 21:19:07 +0200:

MD> What kind of integration will it be?

first-step is add from jabber-buffers information to bbdb and create
bbdb-send-jabber-message (analog bbdb-dial ;) )

next-step is get or update information from vcard

There are ideas?

p.s. -- answer to list or me only, ok?

I just did the latter. Thanks!
