Problems With Windows XP Installation

Hi!

I installed auctex on my Linux (Kubuntu 9.04, 64-bit system), and I liked it so much I tried to install it on my XP laptop (SP3).  I followed all of the instructions, but while I get the menus and buttons, and I can run LaTeX from emacs (v. 22.3), the Preview commands don't work.  Instead  I only get a message "tool-bar view".  Any thoughts?

Also, how can change the color of the headers?  I don't like the shade of yellow.

Otherwise, the package is great. Thanks for making this available.

Best wishes,
David Lentini

What are "all of the instructions"? What exactly did you do? What does
the AUCTeX-specific part of your .emacs file look like?

autorevert and log file

Hi there,

There is some inconenience caused by autorevert and AUCTeX writing to
the echo area at the same time. This is becoming more problematic since
Emacs now has auto revert mode enabled by default.

In the process of using AUCTeX, the .log file is opened. Thus when you
compile the .tex file from within AUCTeX, the message from autorevert
obsure the message from AUCTeX.

I wonder whether it is possible to disable visiting the .log file. It
looks like the *output* buffer already has a copy of the .log file.

Thank you.
