[jpassion_webservices] Web Services - Compiling Client Side in Eclipse / Maven

I recently resubscribed to Java Passion and am currently working
through the series on Web Services.

I am working through the exercise
concerning Web services in Maven and Eclipse, and am struggling with
compiling the client side code to call the web service (HelloService) that I
deployed on Glassfish. I cannot get the client to compile. However,
when I ran it the first time, a box came up asking if I wanted to
proceed with the run even though the code had errors (I clicked 'yes')
and was able to get the result back. However, I tried subsequent times
and it does not work.

I tried running your solution folder (I imported it into Eclipse as a
Maven project) and am currently experiencing the same issue above.

Included in the attached ZIP is a word document with a screen print and the
solution files that I downloaded from your site.

Can you assist with this? Any help you can provide would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks very much in advance. Your presentations are great!

[jpassion_webservices] RESTful Web Services

Dear Sir,

I am a subscribed user in Jpassion. I am building a project based on RESTful web services. The resources given by Jpassion are very good. Apart from the given resources I was in need of further help and so thought Jpassion will be the best source of help.

The project is providing services such as weather forecast and map service in Java. I am new to this field and I wanted an idea so as to start the work, as well as some code snippets.

I will appreciate if you could help me with this and guide me so that I can build a successful project. I will be looking forward for your positive response.

Thanks & Regards.

[jpassion_webservices] LAB-4356: Helpless in Exercise 1: Build "HelloWorld" Web Service provider step by step as a Maven project

Hi

I just can't get the above exercise of the last lab working. After deploying the link http://localhost:8080/helloworld_webservice/ returns 404.
I tried also  http://localhost:8080/helloworld_webservice/Hello?WSDL, http://localhost:8080/helloworld_webservice/HelloService?WSDL.
Manipulated with name attribute of <at> Webservice. I think there's a discrepancy between service name in Hello class and in index.jsp. Isn't it?

<at> WebService
public class Hello
{

<jsp:forward page="HelloService?WSDL"/>

Went through the instructions twice. Nothing worked for me.
A webservice war from some tutorial works just fine, so it's not a problem with the Glassfish.
Thanks in advance for help.

Best regards,

Ewa
