I'm going to write my diploma thesis in political sciences on this subject. At the urgent call of our Palestinian contacts Israel peace groups got together. Something must be done against the collective punishment of the Palestinian people for how they voted in their democratically held elections.
We begin our protest June 3, in Tel-Aviv, in the week that the occupation enters it's 40th year. A week later, June 10, we will go with a convoy of food and medicines in the direction of besieged Nablus. On that same day Physicians for Human Rights will get medicines to Palestinian hospitals elsewhere.

***Urgent Appeal to our Members, Friends and Supporters***
The financial crisis affecting the Palestinian Authority (PA) due to the stoppage of international aid and the freezing of the tax revenue by the state of Israel, has had a grave impact on the Palestinian population in the occupied territories and has led to an acute shortage of basic needs, such as medicines and food.
A number of Palestinian hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip have asked us at Physicians for Human Rights-Israel to assist them in acquiring a number of medicines and medical equipment needed for the daily functions of the hospitals. During visits we have conducted to several hospitals we witnessed the harsh reality of a scarcity of life saving medicines and medical equipment to be used in the operating rooms.
Physicians for Human Rights-Israel, together with several Israeli peace and human rights groups, began a campaign to raise funds in order to aid the Palestinian areas that were hardest hit as a result of the financial crisis, and to provide, as best we can, some of the urgent medical needs of the Palestinian hospitals, with whom we have been in contact for many years.
Additionally, we are handling individual cases of patients from the occupied territories who have not received permits needed to enter Israel for urgent treatment, or patients that the PA is not paying for their treatment, due to the financial crisis. This activity also involves legal costs.
Physicians for Human Rights-Israel feels obligated to support our colleagues working in the Palestinian health system, who in this difficult time are doing all they can in order to grant the best medical service to the Palestinian population, and to aid patients and medical teams who are carrying the burden of this difficult crisis.
We turn to you with this urgent appeal asking that you donate to this activity according to your ability. In light of the urgency of the matter, we ask that those who are able to donate contact us as soon as possible, so that we can begin to transfer the aid immediately. Physicians for Human Rights-Israel plans on organizing shipments within the upcoming days.

La crise financière qui affecte l’Autorité palestinienne suite à l’arrêt de l’aide financière et au gel par Israël des revenus de taxes, a un grave impact sur la population palestinienne dans les territoires occupés et a abouti à un déficit aigu de besoins de base tels que les médicaments et la nourriture.
Plusieurs hôpitaux palestiniens en Cisjordanie et dans la Bande de Gaza nous ont demandé à nous, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (PHR-Israel) de les aider en obtenant plusieurs médicaments et équipements médicaux essentiels au déroulement quotidien des hôpitaux. Lors des visites que nous avons menées dans un nombre d’hôpitaux, nous avons été témoins de la réalité très difficile du au manque de médicaments qui peuvent sauver la vie et d’équipements médicaux utilisés dans les salles d’opérations.
Physicians for Human Rights –Israel avec d’autres groupes israéliens pour les droits humains et la paix ont commence une campagne pour recueillir des fonds afin d’aider les régions palestiniennes les plus durement touchées suite à la crise financière et pour apporter, du mieux que nous le pouvons, une aide médicale urgente aux hôpitaux palestiniens avec lesquels nous sommes en contact depuis des années.
De plus, nous nous occupons de cas individuels de patients des territoires occupés qui n’ont pas reçu de permis pour entrer en Israël pour des soins urgents ou de patients pour lesquels l’Autorité palestinienne ne paie plus leur traitement à cause de la crise financière. Cette activité entraîne aussi des frais obligatoires.
PHR-Israel se sent moralement obligé de soutenir nos collègues qui travaillent au sein du système de santé palestinien et qui, dans ces temps difficiles, font tout ce qu’ils peuvent pour apporter le meilleur service médical à la population palestinienne et d’aider les patients et les équipes médicales qui doivent supporter le fardeau de cette difficile crise.
Nous nous tournons vers vous avec cet appel urgent pour vous demander de faire un don à cette activité selon vos possibilités. A la lumière de l’urgence de ce problème, nous demandons à ceux qui peuvent faire un don de nous contacter dès que possible afin que nous puissions commencer à transférer immédiatement l’aide. The working title is: "Democracy in education - an integral perspective" It deals with a multiperspective view on different approaches to the field, using the meta-theory of the integral approach (represented by the works of Ken Wilber). One of the aims of this effort is to integrate the different, but relevant aspects that major perspectives have to offer on a topic - in my case, of democracy and education.
