Not to display a specific database link

We use a community work station that contains all the database listings
that I have in my ezproxy.cfg file in the server. Now, one specific
database is ONLY restricted not to display in that community
workstation, how can it be achieved? If I delete it from the .cfg file,
I know, it's stop working from other interfaces, any thought please.
Thanks, Faizur.

Co-existence of Apache and Ezproxy at the same IP and Port

Hello,

We are running Ezproxy and Apache web server  in different ports (TCP 81 for Ez and TCP 80 for Apache) at the same server. We have some support problems to run ezproxy sessions when clients are using firewalls (Norton, etc.) blocking non standard ports. We are currently thinking to append another IP address to the current network adapter for operations of Ezproxy in a standard TCP 80 port. However, our IT department tell me that we can add a virtual host in Apache httpd.conf  for running Ezproxy at the same TCP 80 as Apache works.

Anyone know how to do it?

Thank you in advance

Best Regards.

RE: Co-existence of Apache and Ezproxy at the same IP and Port[Scanned]

Javier,

It would be much simpler, if you can do so, to add another network adapter to your server and assign it a separate IP address and run ezproxy on port 80 on that adapter.  I'm doing just this in a Redhat Enterprise Linux environment and it works just fine.  But perhaps your hardware environment or IT policies don't allow for this setup?

I'm not highly expert on any of this, but virtual hosting in apache has to do with running multiple websites using the same instance of apache.  Since ezproxy does not constitute a website, it doesn't seem likely that virtual hosting will work.

AutoLoginIp directive

Dear all,

it is possible to have different AutoLoginIp directives for different
remotes resources ?

I have a remote resource for which i'm bound to enable only a VERY
restricted number of our IPs (one hundred of IPs vs two hundred of C
class Ips). For all other resources i'm free to enable all our
networks and they are configured with general ExcludeIP directive.

Maybe this configuration can be done with groups manipulation ?
ExcludeIP and AutoLoginIP directive can be assigned to a group ?

Best regards,
Paolo Tealdi

Yes. Wrap the resources' stanzas with the Include <IP range of the
Class C that can't access the resource>, Autologin <Same IP range>

Agree - this is exactly what we do using Solaris..

You also need to tell EZProxy which hostname / IP to listen on at
the=20 top of the .cfg file.

Name <hostname>.ac.uk

Yes, John is right. We are doing this very thing on SuSE Linux. There
are great instructions at the ezproxy site:
