RE: RE:proxy configuration for Longwoods Publishing

Proxy-by-port is probably the difference. We do ProxyByHostname and, even if we proxy google.com (when I look at the source code, all links to Google.com are rewritten), the search results are not rewritten and the proxy drops when we click on one.
FWW, here’s our Google stanza :
T Google
U http://www.google.ca
DJ google.ca
DJ google.com
DJ google.fr
HJ www.google.com
HJ www.google.fr
HJ https://www.google.ca/
HJ https://www.google.com/
HJ https://www.google.fr/
HJ scholar.google.ca
HJ scholar.google.com

Rebecca,
I tried a search within Longwoods while proxied in and it did not drop the proxy; I was able to successfully search terms and then link into the fulltext of several without losing proxy. I tried this in Canadian Journal of Nursing Leadership (or, because they can't seem to decide what to call themselves...... just "Nursing Leadership"!)
We are using proxy-by-port rather than proxy-by-hostname, if that makes any difference (wouldn't think so, but you never know).
And no, we do not have Google in our proxy list.
Regards,
Brad

Brad, I can pull up proxied content without problem as long as I don’t do a Search, I tested it with the “Canadian Journal of Nursing Leadership.” The URL does contain our 3-digit subscriber number(shown as xxx below), though it falls out of proxy once a search is done via the Search box. I tried your form and our form of the URL with the same result. <our proxy prepend>http://www.longwoods.com/include/login_ent.php?mode=ent_login&cat=xxx <our proxy prepend>http://www.longwoods.com/home.php?cat=xxx&pastissues=xxx Would you verify a Search does not drop out of proxy for you? Do you have google.com proxied and if so could you share what you use for that? I have been reluctant to proxy google.com with the exception of our 2 line Google Scholar which we’ve had for numerous years – an easy method to get our patrons to our institution’s Google Scholar door. T Google Scholar TIA, rebs From: Brad Dishan [mailto:Brad.Dishan <at> sjhc.london.on.ca]
This is what we use and it seems to work:
T Longwoods Journals If I recall correctly, we need the longer URL with the "cat=" followed by, I think, our 3-digit subscriber number.
My D and DJ lines may be redundant.
