\.log file

Hi all,
I'm using v5.5 - build 20060905 on Win XP (upgraded from v5.3). Upon starting WinEdt the following message
appears "File \.log does not exist". 
I can only find "x.log" in the WinEdt installation folders. What file should I be looking for?
