Re: How to show line number on left in nano

Hello,

Nano's 'constant update mode' (command line option -c or toggled with Meta-C in the editor) will display the line number, etc, of the current cursor position on the 'status bar' toward the bottom of the screen. Nano does not number lines along the left side like other utilities or editors.

Open nano by doble-click. Is it possible?

I've been told it is not possible for programs based on xterm /
console (nano, joe) to open just by clicking on the 'object'
file, as we do with 'graphic-compliant' editors like Vim or
Emacs. Is this true?
