extending the BXE menu with drop-down lists

Hello,

I have a question re extending the BXE menu: we would like to let the
user tag some text, just like with the "bold" button, but instead of
inserting <strong>, we want to insert divs, like <div
class="engineer">Albert Einstein</div>. How shall we do that? There are
a lot of classes (20), so we thought of not having 20 buttons, but put
it in a dropdown list.

TIA,
Renaud

Hi!

Does Firefox 1.5.0.1 improve the bitflux compatibility?

best regards, Jürgen

Re: Firefox 1.5.0.1

Hi,
<ctrl>-C/V doesn't work with FF 1.5.0.1 on Windows, seems like
we have to live with the workaround Christian provided for
the Copy/Paste problem (Thanks Christian)

best regards
Michael

Yep, that's the only solution so far (the popup textarea to paste text
into). I can't promise you anything, when the ctrl+c/v issue will be
fixed in BXE. Looks like a more complicated, resp. deep in FF issue (it
still works on Mac and Linux..)

Question in to the round: are there any open issues with 1.5 and BXE?
I'm not aware of any right now, but didn't test very thoroughly.

help!!

Dear Experts,

I try to use bx-editor to edit a xml file with
a predefined xml schema. I am experiencing some problems.

When the editor is loaded, a javascript errors occurs:

Error: startElement has no properties
Source File: file://export/home/bxeng/relaxng/RelaxNG.js
Line: 314

The relaxng file is generated with sun's relax ng converter
http://wwws.sun.com/software/xml/developers/relaxngconverter/.

Any advice on fixing the problem would be greatly appreciated.

The Bitflux editor version is 1.10-dev

Thanks,
Sarah

We need more information here.

Did you try it with jing? <http://www.thaiopensource.com/relaxng/jing.html>
Does it validate with that?

If it does, then could you please provide a link to the RNG file, or
even better all the bxe related files needed for your setup.

bitflux 2.0 demo doesn't work

Hi all,

I've download the latest version of bitflux 2.0, somehow I couldn't make the demo work.

I launched the demo via mozilla 5.0:   file:///export/home/bitflux/2.0_branch/bxe/examples/rss/index.html.  The bitflux flash window showed, and the status message was "load config ... Load XML ....Load XSLT ..." and it hung on there. Seems having problem with loading xslt.

Using the exact same browser, I could launch the 2.0 demo from the following posted URL though: http://files.bitflux.ch/bxe_2_0/examples/rss/index.html.

Any hint on how to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sarah
