gmane.emacs.auctex.devel not updated

Hi all,

Since yesterday, my messages to the above Gmane groups don't appear
anymore. The last update from nntp.gmane.org on that group is from
yesterday. But strangely, the webinterface

  http://news.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.auctex.devel

is missing even more messages. For example, I had a long discussion
with subject

Inverse Search with Evince & DBUS

starting in February until now. That's not shown at all in the
webinterface. Some messages ids of messages received via nntp, which
aren't on the web: <87ipwxi31z.fsf <at> caeruleus.net>,
<87ei7igoxg.fsf <at> caeruleus.net>, <87fwq3piqs.fsf <at> gmail.com>

And here are the message ids of my messages from yesterday and today,
which neither appeared via nntp nor web:
<87vcyznmfn.fsf <at> member.fsf.org>, <87zkoa8ozp.fsf <at> member.fsf.org>

What's the matter?

Bye,
Tassilo

Gwene scripts published

I've put the Gwene scripts on GitHub for public ridicule:

Gmane hasn't received those messages, so the mailing list server most
likely hasn't sent them to Gmane, I guess.

Ok, I'll tell the AUCTeX maintainers.

Hackin' nnrpd

nnrpd has a nice feature where it will deny any incoming connections if
the load is over 16. However, this means that the mail-to-news scripts
will sometimes be denied, too, which means that the messages go to a
queue for later flushing, which is annoying.

I've now hacked nnrpd to never deny any connections from the Gmane
machines, which should make this problem go away, and we should get more
reliable mail delivery.

Re: Hackin' nnrpd

How about removing the load limiting thing completely? It sometimes
happens that Gmane refuses nntp connections from clients because of
it, which is annoying too.

It better to deny clients than to allow the server to degrade beyond a
load of 16.

Hm, I don't know. Unfortunately, the list doesn't have an own archive,
but it links to Gmane as its archive...

But what's the problem with my other issue, i.e., articles that I have
received via news.gmane.org (nntp), but which are not shown via the web
interface

  http://news.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.auctex.devel

I've no idea about gnus so won't attempt comment there. However...

Messages appearing in the gmane news interface normally have a gmane-
injected Archived-At: header, with an

Oh, indeed, the article <87ipwxi31z.fsf <at> caeruleus.net> received from the
gmane nntp has this Archived-At header:

  http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.auctex.general/4099

And following that link in a browser shows the correct message.

Furthermore, the blog-like, flat web interface
