Since that request was fairly recent, and nobody seemed to complain, I'll go
ahead and remove the -community groups in favor of the existing groups, and
point the existing groups to the new lists.

resurrect gmane.network.wwwoffle.announce

These are healthy,
http://www.mail-archive.com/wwwoffle-announce <at> gedanken.demon.co.uk/
http://www.mail-archive.com/wwwoffle-users <at> gedanken.demon.co.uk/

But the latter of these,
http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.network.wwwoffle.user
http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.network.wwwoffle.announce
has died. Please somebody resurrect it.

At one time the latter was also called
http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.wwwoffle.announce
which you can never mind.

AMB: perhaps also consider sending announcements to both groups, as is
a common practice...

Please change posting permissions for kde buildsystem list.

Hi,

Currently gmane.comp.kde.devel.buildsystem is unidirectional.

Please change it to allow posting. All other kde lists allow posting. Presumably whoever signed up this
list requested unidirectional needlessly.

http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.kde.devel.buildsystem

Best regards,

Steve.

OK, updated. (It will take a while for the updated information to be visible
on the web interface.)

OK, resubscribed.

If there is a mailing list you'd like to subscribe to gmane, and you
have the permission of the list owner, you can subscribe it from here:

I've now slapped "<pre>" around all the bodies in the RSS feeds.

Looking at that code in dns.el, it doesn't seem to have changed in
yonks. Are you using a version of Emacs that now has
`make-network-process' but doesn't support the :type flag? I wonder how
one could check for that...

When all the lists have been migrated, we could just do a mass renaming
of all the mailing list addresses.

... and then I got to thinking about "but what about the messages that
are in HTML?" I looked over the code a bit, and it seems like I'm just
ignoring any non-text/plain parts. Which may be less than idea, but...
