The Prisoner decoded

Below, you will find my analysis of the TV series 'The Prisoner'.
Since I consider the TV series 'Twin Peaks' a remake of 'The
Prisoner', I also send a copy to the 'Twin Peaks' list at
yahoogroups...

* These are the main characters of 'The Prisoner',
  - Number 1: The Butler (Mercury, Hermes, Thoth, Canis Major,
              the Baboon and Cynocephalus).
  - Number 2: The Administrator (New Moon).
  - Number 6: The Prisoner (Sun, Zeus, Jupiter, God, Taurus). In
astrology, Jupiter is the 6th planet.
  - Number 26: The Supervisor (Apollo, Horus, Falcon, Canis Minor).
  - No number: The Audience (Herakles, Hercules, Shu).

* This is the topic: the Satanic gospel of Freemasonry.
  - The main story is about a Dead Dog being repaired by a Solar
Eclipse (the entire Episode 16 is about this). This is part of
Nordic/Germanic mythology (Ragnarok, the beginning/end of the
World) and also part of Egyptian/Greek mythology (Orthos).
Hitler's book 'Mein Kampf' is about it, Wagner's opera
'Gotterdammerung' is about it, the 'Matrix' triology by the
    Wachowski brothers is about it.
The Dead Dog is the logo (the bicycle) of the Village. In
mythology/astrology/alchemy, Mercury + Apollo is the Dead Dog:
the two constellations Dog in the sky, separated by the Milky
Way / the planet Mercury East and West of the Sun / the material
world and introspection). This is why the Butler and the
Supervisor don't meet. It takes the end of a Solar Eclipse to
finally meet each other at the end of Episode 16, a few seconds
after the New Moon - Number 2 - has died. This is because the

Res: Re: The Prisoner decoded

Well, I, for one, happen to like a lot of Mr. Fluks' ideas.
Some make sense to me, others don't.
Your explanation was simply that of a materialist point of view. His was a lil' bit more open-minded.
Every one of us, having our own free-will, have the possibility to choose between yours or his.
But bashing Fluks and his explanation adds nothing to the discussion itself.

Twin Peaks is definitely not a single-sided series. Nor is it any movie or work of Mr. Lynch.
That's for sure.

But, hey, that's just *my* 10 cents

Dead Dogs (that is *two* dogs every few minutes or so) and again,
these dogs ain't animals. In the 'Prequel' of Twin Peaks there is
a joke: the Dead Dog *is* in fact *two real dogs* (in a car)
  barking to Leland.

In the Pepsi Logo, the Magenta half circle refers to Horus
(the Egyptian Apollo were Magenta is the colour of Horus),
Canis Minor. The Indigo (Indigo being the colour of Sirius, the
main object in Canis Major) bottom half circle refers to Thoth
(the Egyptian Mercury), Canis Major. The white part in the logo
between the two half circles is the Milky Way, separating the
Dead Dog. The picture on a Pepsi bottle/can is a picture of Hell.
We even see Thoth (Mercury) *repairing* the Full Moon (that is:
creating the New Moon) - the 'eye of Horus'. This is about
  Egyptian mythology and astrology.

> astrology is a pseudoscience based on relative astronomical

Since I'm a astronomer myself, I don't like astrology. The
reason why I tried to find out what is happening here, is because
I've lost quite a number of friends to this story. These friends
are *not aware* of their changing personality; their personality
changed once they started doing yoga (yoga is alchemy). The odd
thing is that they wanted to be 'enlightened' and that I am the
one that realized that 'enlightenment' is just a trick.
To see the story is to solve riddles about Herakles and Mercury and
to see Hermetic tricks in our world. Most politicians are involved
(this is also what the final episode of The Prisoner states). See,

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/campaigns/galleries/lifeofgore/photo34.htm
where the picture shows the Solar Eclipse (the Swoosh).

The problem is that this story is the most important story in the
world. In fact, the story is even mentioned in Twin Peaks,
     http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Dog_Farm
There is one scene in The Prisoner were Patrick McGoohan mentions
Mercury being Canis Major. In 'Dance of the Dead', he says (33m):
'Where is the man behind the Big Dog ?' This line was *removed* from
the subtitles because is is about the main plot (the Butler being
Number #1: Mercury, the Big Dog Canis Major).

> The Prisoner is about (a) man constrained by a seemingly free society;

The Prisoner is about our world being a prison (that is: Hell),
'freedom' being the same thing as dieing. This is why the persons that
obduct the Prisoner are dressed in undertaker costumes. The diety of both
Freedom (Liberalism) and Death is Osiris. This was a very popular story
in the French revolution - and this is why there are so many references
in The Prisoner to that revolution and to the Egyption Book of the
Dead (where Osiris is the main figure). The attributes of Osiris are
'the Hook and the Crook' and these are mentioned in the intro of the
Prisoner. In the final episode, 'All you need is Love' from the
Beatles is played - and this is a tribute to both the French revolution
and the Dead Dog (most Beatle songs are about the Dead Dog / Mercury
  - especially 'I am the Walrus'). The Lennon song 'Imagine' is about
the Egyption Book of the Dead and living in Hell forever (so is
'Yellow Submarine' - were 'yellow' is the colour of Mercury, explaining
  'Yellow allert' in The Prisoner).

All it takes is to see the trick.

Things and thoughts in the material world encode for things and thoughts
in the Hermetic world of Mercury. The things around us and even our own
thoughts have *a different meaning*. But most of us ain't aware of this.
The Labours of Herakles are about Man discovering the Hermetic World. In
his 10th Labour, Herakles even kills the Dead Dog, Orthos. And as a baby,
  Herakles created the Milky Way...

Hello Dr. Fluks,

I must say your interpretations are interesting.  Although a little 'out there'.  The mind is an interesting and mysterious organ is it not?  I hope you take your intepretations with a grain of salt... or I fear you'll soon be wearing a tin foil hat.

Please do continue with the interpretations... I find them fascinating in a crazy person kind of way, and I mean that with the highest respect.

Re: The Prisoner decoded

Pauline Kabe <squirrlegirl <at> hotmail.com> wrote,
> I hope you take your intepretations with a grain of salt...

It is in fact about interpretation itself: an item/thought in the
material world (profane meaning) is to be translated (by a 'Hermeneus',
an interpreter, a bridge) into an item/thought in the hidden world
(Hermetic meaning) where the Hermeneus is a property of Mercury and
the alchemy of both meanings (Mercury being the God of Alchemy).

An example given by George Orwell in '1984': the party slogan,
   Profane Meaning Hermeneus Hermetic Meaning
   --------------------------------------------------------
   Freedom/Strength Enlightening Slavery/Ignorance
   Peace Piece of Work War
   --------------------------------------------------------
More examples...
   Canis Major Monoceros/Unicorn Canis Minor
   Science Homophone Signs
   Religion Iconoclasm Satanism
   Right Eye/Sirius Third Eye/Rosette Left Eye/Gomeisa
   Right wing Liberalism/Bennu Left wing
   7-Colour Rainbow Yellow 6-Colour Rainbow
   --------------------------------------------------------

The trick is to see things like these in the real world (left column)
and to be aware of the Hermetic world (right column). These things
are explored in '1984' by Orwell and in 'The Prisoner' by Patrick
McGoohan. You will also find them in 'Twin Peaks' by David Lynch and
in The Matrix triology by Wachowski & Wachowski. The Matrix in fact
is a story about the *meeting* of the oracle (Apollo) and the architect
(Mercury) in the head of 'The One' (Neo, Mr. Anderson - that is: Mercury).
This meeting *is* the Dead Dog (in 'The Prisoner', the meeting of the
Supervisor/Apollo and the Butler/Mercury is the Dead Dog).

In fact, the above can be found on the backside of each Euro banknote.
Here you will find a Dead Dog (a bridge over a river connecting two
numbers = the Hermeneus in the Milky Way - the Unicorn/Monoceros -
connecting the Two Dogs). On the front side of each Euro banknote, you
will find the gate of Herakles (Herakles isn't missing since we are
Herakles ourselves). Also: the 1 Euro coin is a Solar Eclipse - where
the 'O' of Euro is Mercury. So, in fact, it is not just a story. It is
*real*.

These are brainwashing techniques.
All it takes is to see the trick.

Fluks, Julee Cruise, The Giant, Lynch, Astrology, Astronomy & whatnot

Dear Dr. Fluks:

This is one of the most powerful and saddest metaphors (or references) from the twin peaks series: the moment when Julee Cruise (Lynch's favorite female singer) sings at the Roadhouse her unbelieveably beautiful tune, called 'the world spins'. I am just utterly infatuated with this song since the first time i saw this episode. Dale is there listening to Julee, with the Log Lady, the police crew and I guess with Bobby's father also (I forgot his name).

At the same moment, Bob/Leland is making another victim: Maddie. The giant appears and says : "It is happening again" (x2). After the music's over, the crime's done. The old and almost giant-like waiter, Señor Droolcup, comes to Coop's table and apologizes to him: "I'm so sorry". It is almost impossible not to shed a tear at this moment. Bobby, seated at the balcony on the side of the elderly waiter, almost cries also. So does Donna and James, all at the Roadhouse.

Well, I found a lot of references, symbolic ones, at the lyric to the song. It says something about a 'dog'. And it is almost crystal clear about astrology: 'stones' falling from the sky, 'the world spins', Halley's comet. Maybe that's the missing link to all your interpretations and Lynch's own.

Take a look, the lyrics are pasted below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5Ztamg0GnE

The World Spins

Written by: David Lynch (lyrics), Angelo Badalamenti (music)

Moving near the edge at night
Dust is dancing in the space
A dog and bird are far away
The sun comes up and down each day
Light and shadow change the walls
Halley's comet's come and gone
The things I touch are made of stone
Falling through this night alone

Love
Don't go away
Come back this way
Come back and stay
Forever and ever

Please stay

Dust is dancing in the space
A dog and bird are far away
The sun comes up and down each day
The river flows out to the sea

Love
Don't go away
Come back this way
Come back and stay
Forever and ever

The world spins.

There are two birds important: the Bennu (the Egyptian Phoenix,
de bird of Osiris in the Egyptian book of the Dead and the
international symbol of Liberalism and liberal political parties)
and the Cuckoo (the bird of Hera/Isis, refering to the insanity
of Herakles - that is: Man).
There is a Beatle song about this: 'You know my name' - and of
course the movie 'One flew over the cuckoo nest'. It also is the
theme song of Laurel and Hardy movies and it refers to the KKK -
which was founded by Albert Pike, the father of Satanism in
Freemasonry. I suppose 'Albert' in Twin Peaks is a tribute to
  Albert Pike.

The theme melody of Twin Peaks is a Dead Dog and the opening
scene of the first episode starts with the Dead Dog. I suppose
that in Twin Peaks, the FBI represents the Dead Dog.
     Dale Cooper = Mercury/Hermes/Thoth
Gordon Cole = Apollo/Horus - the *supervisor* (just as in The
                   Prisoner).
Dead Dog = Mercury + Apollo (Canis Major + Canis Minor).
The symbol of Twin Peaks is/are the ears of the Dead Dog (there
are 4 ears - 2 big ones - refering to Canis Major - and two small
ears - refering to Canis Minor). The colour of the ears is
emerald, the colour of the Emerald Tables of Mercury,
     http://www.lynchnet.com/tp/pics/dvd01.jpg

If this is right, Dale Cooper has always been immoral - not just
in the final episode. Since Thoth invented the alphabet, this
explains why Cooper discovered characters under the nails of the
victims. It also explains why Cooper is barking to the Moon (Diana)
all the time - since Thoth creates a New Moon once a month from
the Full Moon in Egyptian astrology (this relates to the Eye of
Horus). Cooper *doesn't speak a word* to Diana during *New Moon*.

There are many jokes in Twin Peaks. I just noted this one: 'A
shoe for all seasons' (Gerard to the sheriff). This is about the
Gate of the Olympus - both the Four Seasons and Herakles being the
gardians of 'The Gate of Clouds' - and the Egyptian Herakles is
called 'Shu'. This also explains many references to shoes in Twin
Peaks. Lucy being pregant of two men also refers to Herakles (his
mother also being pregnant of two men). The pine-weasel too refers
to Herakles: the servant Galanthis was transformed into a weasel for
tricking the God of Childbirth - a daugther of Hera and the Statue
of Liberty in New York and the statue on the Capitol in Washington
  - so Herakles was born anyway although Hera and her daughter
Eileithyia (called 'Libertas' in ancient Rome) tried to prevent him
  being born.
The dark side of this: this is why the Nazis wrote 'Arbeit macht
Frei' on the gates of their concentration camps (Eileithyia being
  the deity of Labour)...

Re: Fluks, Julee Cruise, The Giant, Lynch, Astrology, Astronomy & whatnot

I started watching Twin Peaks at the end of the first season and then mom brought home Fire Walk With Me. I was hooked! (back on topic)
The song you mention was also in Fire Walk With Me as well and, Laura is listening and crying through the whole thing. The emotion/heartache was completely devastating to me. Needless to say I hunted down anything that had to have with Twin Peaks...including the soundtracks.

Dear Dr.

The World Spins

Written by: David Lynch (lyrics), Angelo Badalamenti (music)

Moving near the edge at night
Dust is dancing in the space
A dog and bird are far away
The sun comes up and down each day
Light and shadow change the walls
Halley's comet's come and gone
The things I touch are made of stone
Falling through this night alone

Love
Don't go away
Come back this way
Come back and stay
Forever and ever

Please stay

Dust is dancing in the space
A dog and bird are far away
The sun comes up and down each day
The river flows out to the sea

Love
Don't go away
Come back this way
Come back and stay
Forever and ever

The world spins.
