How about Latakia Ao 1860 from Dutch Windmill
(or any other latakia for that matter.)

You might also want to start going through the
different blends offered by F&T.

Howdy Ken!

IMO: If snuff is going to cause any sort of
respiratory problems it will be in the nose
and sinuses rather than in the lungs.

Hi all, great group.
I love reading the posts and wealth of info from all in this group.
I don't usually post cause I find that some one else has all ready said
it and some one else has already answered any questions I've ever had.
But this has got me worried.
I was going through the photo section and noticed a snuff and beer
fridge!!! Am I supposed to be keeping my snuff collection in the
fridge??
If so the with Summer coming I better get cracking and find space in
the LG real quick.

I have been using Nasal Snuff for a very long time.
buy most of my snuff from South India. Lving in Canada, just imagine
how hard its for me to get hold of it.

Any way will keep an eye on ths site.

The Snuff and Beer frigde is my own choice of storage. I think the
recommended storage of snuff is just a cool, dark, dry place.

I just moved into a new house a couple months ago that came with a
second fridge and thought it would make a nice storage place for my
snuffs. Wether or not it is the best method of storage I don't
excactly know, but it seems to be doing the trick for me so far as I
have yet to crack open any cans of snuff to find them dried out or
lacking in flavor....

Hi folks,

I've been taking snuffs with mainly american blends (honey bee, tube
rose, etc.) and like them; i've found them to be flavorful, esp. if
you moisten them slightly (wet paper towel placed in jar for a few
days does the trick).

But today...I got my first order of some of the european blends...my
first so far has been Gletscher Prise, since i've been wanting to try
something minty.

Oh my! If indeed it turns out that there is no real health concern
with nasal snuffs, then indeed I can say i'm in love! This stuff is
great! I"m a pipe smoker, too (yes, I got some latakia!), and used to
be an oral dipper (can of Copenhagen a day!), but quit that about 3
months ago, and enjoy my pipes. But now I'm also into
snuffing...and...wow...wow....

All I can say is wow. Wow.

As to your first question, I always have at least 3
containers of snuff on me at any given time.

When I was quitting smoking that number increased,
until one day I pulled out all the boxes I had on me
and found I had 12! Way too many, so I'm back to
about 3.

As to your second question, I found those wooden
Sharrow boxes a little large for the amount I snuff.
The general rule of thumb is to carry a day or two's
worth of snuff in your snuff box. I would say, then
that it's ok to carry boxes that big, but you might
try to only have a little bit in each.

Related to that issue, I find I prefer some of the F&T
snuffs after they've "breathed a bit. specifically
I'm referring to Bordeaux, Princes, and Princes
special, which seem to develop more pronounced aroma
once they've been exposed to air for a bit. Given
that, I could see putting a bit of F&T into a larger
box to allow the flavor develop a bit. (I expect a
bunch of strenuous disagreement on this!)

Refridgerators at least the modern ones are designed to be "frost
free". This frost free feature acts kind of like a de-humidifier. That
in turn would dry the snuff out over time. If the snuff container was
open or not sealed properly I would think it would dry the snuff out
also. Think about what an unused vegetable looks like over some time
in a fridge.
