Re: Don't laugh at a rookie but...

HAhahaa What HAVE you done????
You'll be ok! The packard's is very nice, related to the President,
which is one of my favorites for variety and clearing up my nose! The
Red Seal is very interesting. It will hit the back of your throat on
each sniff, producing a sweet taste, so have a beverage that acts
accordingly handy! The Dental Scotch I haven't tried, but if it's
like WE Garrett, then it should be like a barbeque in your nose. (WE
Garrett is my fav so far of the american snuffs.) So... You just got
yourself 2 german snuffs (that are made in the "menthol style" of
english snuffs) and 2 american sorts (underlying toasted bbq snuff-
sweetened or unsweetened of which you have both!) I would definately
suggest if these snuffs don't hit the spot, going to
www.marscigars.com and ordring a tin of Wilson's Lemon Grove, a tin
of McChrystal's S'nuff, and a tin of Samuel Gawith Irish D Light to
get acquainted with some of the english variety. The president that
you have has camphor, menthol, anisette, and is a nice texture to
start off with. Have a coffee handy (or whatever you prefer) and be
prepared to have the snuff drip down the back of your throat. This
really goes for the packard's club. Enjoy! post your thoughts,
experiences!

Dave,
I don't know if what kind the packard is. You can check it out at www.lilb=

How much, how to be discreet?

How much is "too much"? I'll tell you guys, this stuff really gets "heady" sometimes. I appreciate what you
said about snuffing being "an art". Just like Cigars are an art as opposed to Cigarettes! I'm just
wondering, I mean, I heard what probe said about just do as much as you like, but is there and "etiquette" to
how much snuffing to do? Once an hour, Once every 30 Min.? I know there is no hard and fast rule about it, I'm
just wondering what you.. the "real" snuffers do. Isn't this stuff addicting like cigarettes? Also, I
took a little of my new snuff with me in a little altoids can with a rubberband around it to keep it from
spilling. I'm a mailman, but felt funny about putting the stuff up to my nose, I felt like the whole world was
watching me, and as if I was doing something "wrong". What's a quick and easy way to take a snuff hit in public?

Re: My Taste in Snuffs is getting "refined"

You should really try some Wilson's and Samuel Gawith too! Very
different than Poschl in terms of base tobacco flavor, texture, etc

After using it, I feel "spent" and worn out. I like the refreshment
and flavor of the Poschl stuff! ...I'm learning! ; )

Re: new snuffer here!!!

Hi Charlie C,

Welcome aboard! I'm pretty new to the "Snuff Scene" too! I've been snuffing for a little over a week now. I've
found this group to be one of the friendliest and funnest! I started by going down to the local Albertsons
Grocery store and buying the only "Snuff" they had... a can of W.E.Garrett. It was a little harsh for my
liking, but once I hit the mail order and bought some "real" Snuff, it's DEE-LITE-FUL! And very
inexpensive! I'm enjoying learning as I go, and I think you will too! You can learn a lot from these "Snuff Veterans"!

Re: Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

It's me Billytwice, Probewhiskey (Brian). I did a trade with someone
and don't know where they got it from, but there's not too many
places in the US where you can get Grousemoor (Except the
snuffshop.com who has it on sale in this very same container) I'd
love to swap with you! I've heard good things from Ron about
Grousemoor, and from all I know, we have similar tastes. So, email me
if your into this at:

Also, I have lots of
Gletcherprise (Unopened) that I'm never going to snuff in the near
future, so maybe we could do a little US-UK swap meet thing! Thanks,
hope you're into it!

Re: Before I go on a snuff binge....

Hi there,

Hope you have a nice vacation. Once I was a heavy smoker too, but
amazingly snuff (even the Poschl's) keep me off smoking. I have more
breath and can have a buzz everywhere! Anyway, I just wanted to say
that I know that the Amish produce pipe tabacco (Indian Summer), that
is sold here in the Netherlands. So maybe they also make a snuff? If
they do, I would love to try it!

All the best,

Vinz
