Welcome to this new club. It is hoped that the club will arouse interest amongst nasal snuff takers. I believe that this is the first such club of its kind on the web.

Please feel free to express your views.

Graeme

What snuff would suit a pipe smoker?. I have tried a couple of mentholated snuffs and they were disgusting and Wilsons Vanilla which was ok.

Also, how long are you supposed to keep the snuff up there?

thanks
Windy

Windy,

You might like to try a McChrystal's snuff called : "S'nuff" which has been formulated for smokers in that it is unperfumed, gives a good nicotine kick.

See the links page for the McChrystal's web site.

It is cheap and they do mail order.

Otherwise, Fribourg & Treyer's "Dr. James Robertson Justice's Mixture" - a moist full snuff suits me as a pipe smoker.

Cheers, Graeme

If you're fond of pipe tobacco with more than a hint of Latakia, I could highly recommend Gawith's Latakia snuff: both smokey and potent. Failing that, a London Brown or High Toast; and anything by Fribour& Treyer is tops.
As far as "keeping the snuff up there" goes, I've always found it best to make use of a handkerchief when your nose tells you to.

Robert N.

Over 20 Snuff Links On This Site

There are now over 20 links to snuff sites on this site.

Some give a background to snuff - its history, how to take it and most are links to snuff sources in the UK and the US.

Generally speaking, British snuff is cheaper from a UK source than for the same snuff in the US (this is especially true of English Fribourg & Treyer snuffs, which are much cheaper if purchased from the UK than in the US). However, some sites in the US offer snuffs from outside the UK - eg. from Germany.

With all these site links there can be no excuse for not getting hold of the snuff you want - wherever you may live.

Nearly all of the UK and US sites offer mail order sales internationally.

Snuff on!

Graeme

McChrystal's S'nuff is in fact a run of the mill S.P.

In bulk it is vastly expensive compared to Wilsons' Best S.P. or Wilsons' Tom Buck. 1 drum (i.e. one lb, though it is now illegal in the UK to call it a pound) - costs UK £17.00 = about US$25)
