"This is the Hand

"This is the Hand
The Hand that takes."
"Send it up. Watch it rise. See it fall. Gravity's rainbow.
Send it up. Watch it rise. See it fall. Gravity's angel."
"The novel inspired the 1984 song "Gravity's Angel" by Laurie
Anderson. In her 2004 autobiographical performance The End of the
Moon, Anderson said she once contacted Pynchon asking permission to
adapt Gravity's Rainbow as an opera. Pynchon replied that he would
allow her to do so with one condition: the opera had to be written
for a single instrument: the banjo. Anderson said she took that as a
polite "no."

On the night of September 11, 2001, Anderson was performing at the
Park West in Chicago. The air was heavy with dread, confusion, and
anger. Waiting for the show to begin, the crowd was talking amongst
itself, conversations running the gamut between those three poles.
Anderson herself had allegedly spent much of the morning on the phone
with her partner Lou Reed, who was back in New York-- and supposedly
sitting on the roof of their building watching the Twin Towers burn--
though she made nary a mention of the day's events once she started
performing.

Hello? Is anybody home? Well, you don't know me, but I know you. And
I've got a message to give to you. Here come the planes. So you
better get ready. Ready to go. You can come as you are, but pay as
you go. Pay as you go.

And I said: OK. Who is this really? And the voice said: This is the

The past is the key to the future

Which way does the world turn? It seems obvious to even the most simple but many have viewed the sky and thought that the lights above moved from horizon to horizon and there are ancient texts that record the rising of the sun in the west and its setting in the east. Some today think that the stars have a causal effect upon the earth, and others that they merely portend what is destined. Stars in Hollywood endorse various candidates for political office and Washington has been described by Rush Limbaugh and Hollywood for ugly people. Hillary Clinton is running for the Democratic nomination even in the face of Obama's obvious lead.  Will this split the Democrat Party ensuring the election of the GOP? Which way does the world turn? Standing here the stars above do seem to move from horizon to horizon.

Illuminati Murdered
At Least Two Other Presidents
By Henry Makow, PhD
5-6-7
Updated 5-17-8

"The bane of our civil institutions is to be found in Masonry, already powerful and daily becoming more so. I owe to my country an exposure of its dangers." -

Captain William Morgan, murdered Sept 11, 1826 A curious but very credible Internet document called "The Mardi Gras Secrets" states that Illuminati agents poisoned and killed Presidents William Henry Harrison (1773-1841) and Zachary Taylor (1784-1850).

They also poisoned James Buchanan in 1857 but he survived. All three were obstructing Illuminati- House of Rothschild plans for the US Civil War (1860-1865). The document also describes the Illuminati role in the murders of Abraham Lincoln and Senator Huey Long.

We know they also killed Presidents Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy and probably Warren Harding and possibly FDR. If George W. Bush weren't doing such an awful job, he probably would be poisoned as well. The Mardi Gras Secrets website <http://www.mardigrassecrets.com/index.html> was created in Dec. 2005 by Mimi L. Eustis, the daughter of Samuel Todd Churchill, a high level member of the secret New Orleans Mardi Gras Society called "The Mystick Crewe of Comus."

This Society, which reorganized the Mardi Gras festivities in 1857, was a chapter of the Skull and Bones.

It began as a front for the activities of Masons Albert Pike, Judah Benjamin and John Slidell who became leaders of the Confederacy. This information is based on Samuel Churchill's deathbed confessions, when he was dying of lung cancer.

Mrs. Eustis later decided to make them public after she also contracted the terminal disease.

The Illuminati ringleader was Caleb Cushing (1800-1879), the partner of William Russell, the opium smuggler who founded the Yale Skull and Bones Society in 1832. In order to rise in this society, one had to participate in a "killing of the king" rite of passage. According to Eustis, the Skull and Bones (or Brotherhood of Death) is "nothing more than a political assassination hit team against those United States politicians who do not fall in line with the House of Rothschild's plans for a blood elitist domination and control over the world's economy...

For example Caleb Cushing was involved in the arsenic poisoning deaths of United States presidents William Henry Harrison on April 4, 1841 and Zachary Taylor on July 9, 1850.

These two Presidents had opposed admitting Texas and California as slave states." William Henry Harrison was the first President ever to die in office, serving only 31 days. According to Wikipedia he died of "pneumonia."

On July 3, 1850, Zachary Taylor threatened to hang those ``taken in rebellion against the Union.'' The next day the President fell ill, vomited blackish material, and died July 9. (Kentucky authorities recently dug up Taylor's body looking for evidence of arsenic poisoning.)

THE ASSASSINATION OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN

I paraphrase Mrs. Eustis: During the Civil War (from 1861-1865), President Lincoln needed money to finance the War . The loan shark-bankers wanted 24% to 36% interest. Instead, Lincoln got Congress to authorize the printing of 450 million dollars worth of "Greenbacks" debt and interest-free money.

It served as legal tender for all debts, public and private. The House of Rothschild recognized that sovereign governments printing interest-free and debt-free paper money would break their power.

Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth, was a member of Pike's Knights of the Golden Circle. He was in New Orleans during the winter of 1863-64 and conspired with Pike, Benjamin, Slidell and Admiral G.W. Baird to assassinate Lincoln.

Baird later identified the body of Captain James William Boyd as Booth's. (Boyd was in fact a Confederate spy who resembled Booth and was used as a patsy. His body was dumped into an Arsenal Prison sinkhole used to dump dead horses.)

Eustis says her father emphasized that most Masons below the 3rd degree were good hardworking people. The Illuminati-Skull and Bones used the Masons as a disguise. Those who rose past the 33 degree level did so by participating in the "Killing of the King" ritual.

The lower levels did as they were told without realizing their part in the "Killing of the King". For assassinating Abraham Lincoln, Pike, Benjamin, Slidell and August Belmont (Rothschild's Northern agent) were made secret Kings of the Mystick Krewe of Comus.

Andrew Johnson Vice -President became President and pardoned Albert Pike. Albert Pike awarded Andrew Johnson the thirty-third degree rite of passage. "

Doctors were an essential part of the Illuminati plan to kill U.S. political leaders [who] hindered the take over of the U.S. Republic by the international banking elite," Eustis writes. " Illuminati doctors eventually did in both U.S. President William Henry Harrison and Zachary Taylor.

They also played a death role in the shooting assassinations of U.S. Presidents Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865 (died April 15, 1865), James Garfield on July 2, 1881 (died September 19, 1881), and William McKinley Jr. on September 6, 1901 (died September 14, 1901)."

"Teddy Roosevelt became President after William McKinley was shot. Roosevelt received passage into the 33rd. degree and became a secret king of the Mystick Krewe of Comus.

During his presidency, the Skull and Bones became firmly entrenched and controlled the U.S. Republic." HUEY LONG Huey Long ("Kingfish") was a populist who mounted a powerful challenge to FDR from his power base as Governor of Louisiana and later as US Senator.

Unlike FDR, he was not a Mason and not a shill for the bankers. His "Share Our Wealth" program represented a genuine threat to the Illuminati. An Illuminati member, Dr. Carl Austin Weiss shot Long Sept 8, 1935 and Dr. Arthur Vidrine ensured that Long did not recover.

According to Eustis, Weiss was supposed to hit Long in the face, and Long's bodyguard Murphy Roden was supposed to shoot both Weiss and Long. This may indeed be what happened. Roden was a "spy for J. Edgar Hoover." Roden pumped 60 bullets into Weiss's body. Dr. Weiss was told his baby would be killed if he reneged on the mission.

Both FDR and J. Edgar Hoover won their 33 degree rite of passage for their participation in this murder.

"Franklin Delano Roosevelt was made King of Comus in 1937. When J. Edgar Hoover came down to New Orleans to act out his reign as King of Comus, he was involved in a sexual revelry of homosexuality and cross- dressing with various elitist bloodline members of the Mystick Krewe of Comus."

LINDBERG AND HARDING

"Agents of Skull and Bones with blessing and involvement of J. Edgar Hoover FBI Director and 33rd level executioner-cover up specialist for the elitist bloodline of the House of Rothschild murdered Freemason Charles Lindberg's son.

This killing of Freemason Charles Lindberg's son was to set an example that the isolationist stand was not the will of the Illuminati."

Mrs. Eustis doesn't touch upon the poisoning death of President Warren Harding (1865-1923) but this is how Wikipedia describes it: "At the end of July, while traveling south from Alaska through British Columbia, [Harding] developed what was thought to be a severe case of food poisoning. At the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, he developed pneumonia. Harding died of either a heart attack or a stroke at 7:35 p.m. on August 2, 1923, at the age of 57. The formal announcement, printed in the New York Times of that day, stated that 'a stroke of apoplexy' was the cause of death.' He had been ill exactly one week."

For FDR, see Emanuel Josephson, "The Strange Death of Franklin D. Roosevelt." (1948)

CONCLUSION

The "Mardi Gras Secrets" suggest that, given the depth of corruption, the US political system cannot be taken seriously as a democracy.

There is a pattern of Illuminati-Rothschild control throughout US history. People who deny this are living in a fantasy.

The United States was created to advance the Illuminati New World Order based on Rothschild control of credit. American ideals were designed to dupe the masses, not to be realized.

The founders and heroes of the US were mostly Masons including Paul Revere, John Paul Jones and Benjamin Franklin. Francis Scott Key who wrote the national anthem was a Mason. John Hancock and most of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence were also Masons.

More-than-half the Presidents were Masons. These include Washington, Madison, Adams, Jefferson, Monroe, Jackson, Van Buren, Tyler, Polk, Taylor, Pierce, Buchanan, Johnson, Garfield, McKinley, TR, Taft, Harding, FDR, Truman, LBJ, Ford, Reagan, Clinton and Bush I and II.

Some of these really thought Masonry was about "making good men better" and had to be assassinated.

Other Presidents who weren't Masons, like Eisenhower, Nixon and Carter, were still controlled by the same dark forces.

Throughout its history the United States has been in the clutches of a satanic cult empowered by the Rothschild central banking cartel. Many courageous Presidents and other politicians tried to free their countrymen and died unrecognized, their killers unpunished and triumphant. The US is a nation decapitated, a headless giant led by demons

The Pure and the Profane

The Pure and the Profane

A False Rosucrican Brotherhood

(Images: The Pure Brethren. Joe Dee, the Irishman. Does he look Irish
to you?)

Joe Dee: "Even the most obtuse among the public could not read your
posts without having to suppress the urge to retch. You are the
racist elitist; the person who condemns people simply due to their
genetic heritage."

Jon Presco: "Give three brief examples?

Joe Dee: "One will suffice; the fact that you would call people Jews
as if that were a bad thing to be."

Ten days ago I was invited to join a yahoo group
titled `Rosicrucianism'. After posting on the truth Sephardic Jews
were heavily involved in the Black Haolocost, I was viciously
attacked by a Rosicrucian Brethren named, Joe Dee, who labeled me a
Anti-Semite and Racist. When I showed him my sources, and proof Jews
had been at the core of the Atlanitc slave trade, Joe found a site
associated with Farrakhan, and said this was my original source, I
going there to get some dirt on the Jews. I told him this was
slander, as I came upon my information while studying the Rosamond
genealogy, and the note George Washington Hodges bought the "Jew's
land" from a family surnamed Salvador. I traced this Salvador to
Brazil and the Sephardic Jews.

I posted my study of the Jubilee Jesus and my contention he came to
restore the Jubilee and free indentured slaves – and other slaves!
This was why I pointed out the Jewish slave owners.
Joe Dee began to forward e-mails from this Rosicrucian group into my
personal mail that is now filled with his devious smear tactics and
evil accusations. This morning, I found out why. The Sephardic Jews
when they lived in Spain became very close to the Muslims and the
Sufis. The Rosicrucian also got chummy with the Sufis and their group
titled the `Brethren of Purity'. It is alleged the Brethren of the
Rose Cross adopted the teaching of the Purity Brethren, as did the
Sephardic Jews. Inadvertently my genealogical study struck at the
heart of the Secret Rosy Brethren.

In hindsight I can see they were stunned – especially when I posted
what three Seers told me, that each night I go to the Cathedral of
the Souls where I have a reserved seat at a oval table. There is a
hooded figure in back of me, who is supposed to be Christ, who comes
to stand behind the Anointed One. Is it possible this hooded Jesus
bid me to un-mask the truth about Jews being slave masters?

When Joe Dee made a post about Jesus being a Essene Avatar. I looked
on the internet for articlse on the Essene Calendar and discovered
the Essenes followed the teaching of Enoch found in the Book of
Jubilees! This discovery was utterly ignored, and Dee's attacked
became more furious - till he was frothing at the mouth. This morning
I know why, the Rosicrucian's connect the Essenes with the `Brethren
of Purity'. Without knowing it, my study had shattered Dee's pure
image of himself, and his Jesus. No longer were the Jews "pure". Gone
was their elite claim they are above reproach, and anyone who
questions their purity, is a anti-Semite!

When Joe Dee would not desist in his manic attacks, and when no
moderator or Frater intervened in the assasination of my character, I
launched a counter-attack. I found articles on the net that said the
Rosicrucian were racists and anti-Semitic, they not allowing Jews and
Black into their BROTHERHOOD, until recently. This time several
members said this was true.
I now pointed out that it was John Dee who was reading racist
material – not I. He became livid, bent on my destruction. He asked
that I be banned. A friend of his, some witch, complained that she
needed help in psychicly defeating me. Dee had clamed his was a
wizard of some kind.

When I looked at his profile, I saw a very dark sinister man with
Semitic feature. I had asked Dee earlier if he was a Jew, and thus
his motive for defending the Sepharidic Jew. He denied it – because
he is a Jew, and this fact would have weakened his mission to destroy
my credibility. Dee told me and the group he was Irish. The he
claimed this was not a photo of him, and he has many disguises!
Whatever!!!

This morning I discovered that Hitler's life was changed forever
after he saw Wagner's opera Rienzi that was based upon a novel
written by Bulwer-Lytton an alleged Rosicrucians.

What is key here, is, Bush made a speech from the Israeli Cabinet
that any dialogue with Muslims (who oppose his Christina Crusade in
Iraq) is on par with having dialogues with Hitler, the Jewish Satan.
Bush does not want Democrats to have dialogues with their fellow
Americans about his holy crusade in Iraq, because it may hurt McCain.
This is why Bush lied to all Americans who believe a democracy IS THE
PLACE to have many dialogues! But, when you belong to some kind of
Brotherhood of Purity, Frees Speach is a sin lest you dirty the Pure
and Holy Ones in some manner.

It clear to me Bush's speech was aimed at making McCain more Pure,
More White, More Jewish, More of a Evangelical candidates who
believes in the Zionist Jesus and the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple
to House a Pure White Jesus who is God to the Pure Ones. But, what I
see is the building a dark sinister maze that had no Avatar at its
vortex, only mortals who want to think they are pure, they in a furry
to build ever more complex twists and turns in order to keep the
mundane multitude out.

Jon Presco

"By accusing western democracies of anti-Semitism, the Jews put them
on the defensive. As long as guilt feelings can be profitably mined,
advantages can be gained. But the lode is not likely to last
forever." -- Moshe Leshem, former Israeli diplomat, p. 253-254]

Bush, Obama, and revisiting Nazi appeasement

What happenedPresident Bush, in an address before Israel's Knesset,
or parliament, last week, said that leaders who seek to "negotiate
with the terrorists and radicals" are making the same mistake British
Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and other European leaders made by
trying to negotiate with Adolph Hitler in the 1930s. Bush added, "We
have an obligation to call this what it is—the false comfort of
appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history." His
comments were widely seen as an attack on Democratic presidential
candidate Barack Obama, who has said he is open to talking with the
leaders of Iran and other unfriendly nations. The White House denied
that the comments were aimed at Obama.

PURITY, BROTHERS OF. An association of Arabic philosophers, founded
at Bosra, in Syria, in the Tenth century. Many of their writings,
which were much studied by the Jews of Spain in the twelfth century,
were mystical. Steinschneider, (Jew. Lit., 174, 205) calls them 'the
Freemasons of Bosra', and says that they were a 'celebrated society
of a kind of Freemasons.'" -- II Mackey 601a-b.

When we proceed to the "eccentric" encyclopaedist, Kenneth
Mackenzie's ROYAL MASONIC CYCLOPAEDIA, we are not surprised to read
the following:

"PURITY, BROTHERS OF. An association of philosophers of Arab origin,
founded at Bosra, in the tenth century. Their principles seem to have
been analogous to those of the Essenes. They studied and wrote much,
and their writings were afterwards studied by the learned Spanish
Jews. Having peculiar forms of initiation, they came to be regarded
as a kind of Freemasons, a term specially applied to them by
Steinschneider." -- Mackenzie, 584.

Mackenzie's fellow Initiate, and alleged "Fringe Mason", Saint John
Yarker, (We know he isn't officially regarded as a saint by any
official body, but we do, and that is all that matters to us!)
"Brothers of Purity. This was an association of Arab philosophers
seated at Bosra in the 10th Century. They had forms of initiation,
and they wrote many works, which were afterwards much studied by the
Spanish Jews." -- The Arcane Schools, p. 184 (Referring to
Mackenzie's piece, just quoted).

"All critics of Jews should not be tagged as anti-Semites. We are not
a nation of Christs, Spinozas, and Einsteins; that the Nazis are
brutes does not make us angels ... Criticism is not the same as
hatred, and critics are not our enemies. The greatest friends of a
people are not those who praise but those who honestly find fault. A
people without criticism is either a dictatorship or a community so
deeply embedded in smug self-satisfaction as to be on the road to
decadence."-- William Zuckerman, Jewish author [written before World
War II,

in Goldstein, D., p. 119]

"The far-reaching consequences of the [Jewish] martyr complex go
beyond any effect of the individual Jew ... and do not leave unmarked
even the most sympathetically inclined Gentiles. Since the Jew is
hypersensitive on the subject of his Judaism, Gentiles fear to offer
constructive criticism lest they be accused of prejudices. Thus the
Jew is denied the benefit of honest evaluation of the very real
differences and prejudices existing ... I believe we Jews will never
be normal individuals so long as we foster our martyr complex, so
long as we remain evasive of self-appraisal and self-improvement, and
so long as it is easier to blame the other fellow for our own
faults." Maurice M. Feurlich, Jewish author -- in "Children of the
Martyr Race," The Forum, NYC, September 1937; cited in Goldstein, D.,
p. 116

Rosicrucianism consists of mystical principles originating in ancient
Egypt. Historically, there have been a number of orders containing
the name "Rosicrucian." The great aim of the Rosicrucians has ever
been to assist all mankind in evolving to the highest degree of
earthly perfection, and to render aid to every living being to the
glory of God and to the benefit of mankind. St. Gregory of Nyssa
taught: "Man's aim is to make himself like God, and he reaches this
end above all through love, knowledge and the practice of the
virtues." His teaching continues: "Perfection is a permanent journey,
a constant commitment to progress, because complete likeness to God
can never be achieved; we are always on the path." Gregory is careful
to clarify: "It is not the result of our efforts, neither is it the
result of human strength to become like the Deity, but it is the
result of God's generosity."The purpose of this group is to discuss
and explore Rosicrucianism in its broadest historical and mystical
sense. But this is more than an online discussion group...it is a
worldwide community of Rosicrucians from all of the various orders.
We pride ourselves on the selfless sharing of wisdom, prayer and
assistance. In joining this group, one, in essence, joins a
family."Will you with me tomorrow be content,Faithfully to receive
the Blessed Sacrament,Upon the Oath that I shall hear you give,For ne
gold, ne silver, so long as you live;Neither for love you beare
towards your kinne,Nor yet to no great man, preferment to wynne,That
you disclose the seacret I shall you teach,Neither by writing, nor by
swift speech,But only to him, which you be sure,Hath ever searched
after the seacrets of Nature,To him you may reveal the seacrets of
this Art.Under the cover of Philosophie, before the world you
depart."Secrecy of the Rosicrucians

Positive relations between Jews and Muslims in Spain began
immediately, with the entrance of Muslim invaders heading across the
Straight of Gibralter to unseat the pernicious Visigoths in the early
8th century. The invaders trusted the thankful Jews so immediately
that during the Muslim conquest of Spain beginning in 711, the Jews
in newly conquered territories were used as garrison forces to secure
and guard conquered cities, as the Arab armies pushed north.[i]
Perhaps one of the most fascinating, and least told stories of this
intermingling between the Sephardi and their Muslim hosts was the
direct, profound and religion-changing relationship that these
Iberian Jews developed with their Islamic mystical brethren, the
Sufis. Ultimately, from about the 9th century through the 15th
century, Jewish mystics from the Maimonides clan to Judah Halevi,
Moses de Leon, Solomon Ibn Gabirol and hundreds of others became so
enamored of the Sufi way that they completely remade Jewish
mysticism, leading to the Kabbalah, Hasidism and even specific,
contemporary Jewish prayer methods, all of which hearken back to Sufi
and Jewish/Sufi antecedents.

Sufism, the spiritual soul of Islam, was an open-minded belief system
positing that all the great religions and mystical traditions share
the same essential truths. Following an ecstatic path that often used
the language of lovers and poets instead of ascetics, Sufi masters
attempted to find spiritual union with God — and then "return" to the
everyday world to enlighten and help others.

Sephardi Jews grew captivated by this gentle mystical path as soon as
they began to read in Arabic, by the end of the 8th century. As Jews
rose in prominence within Muslim society, they turned to the Sufis
for inspiration, and then threaded the novel ideas back into Jewish
worship practices, creating a medieval Jewish/Sufi stew, which has
nourished Jewish worship ever since.
Bahya Ibn Pakuda (1040-1080 C.E.), a dayyan, or judge at the
rabbinical court in Saragossa, Spain, was one of the earliest, and
most influential Jewish thinkers to become deeply influenced by the
Sufis. Ultimately, through his study of Islamic works, he penned the
Guide to the Duties of the Heart, a Sufi manual recast as Jewish
theology, which became one of the most important Jewish pietistic
works produced in the last 1000 years

Bahya ibn Paquda lived in Spain in the first half of the eleventh
century. He was the author of the first Jewish system of ethics,
written in Arabic in 1040 under the title Al Hidayah ila Faraid al-
hulub, "Guide to the Duties of the Heart", and translated into Hebrew
by Judah ben Saul ibn Tibbon in 1161-1180 under the title Chovot ha-
Levavot, 'Duties of the Heart'.

Though he quotes Saadia Gaon's works frequently, he belongs not to
the rationalistic school of the Motazilites whom Saadia follows, but,
like his somewhat younger contemporary, Solomon ibn Gabirol (1021-
1070), is an adherent of Neoplatonic mysticism. He often followed the
method of the Arabian encyclopedists known as "the Brethren of
Purity". Inclined to contemplative mysticism and asceticism, Bahya
eliminated from his system every element that he felt might obscure
monotheism, or might interfere with Jewish law. He wanted to present
a religious system at once lofty and pure and in full accord with
reason.

The Brethren Of Purity

"He who knows himself best knows his Creator best" -- Rasa'il Ikhwan
as Safa, I, 76.
While we do not presently possess a great deal of the source material
pertaining to the Brethren of Purity, what we do possess should
assist us in tying up some of the loose ends in the history of the
Transmission of the Gnosis, from the darkest days of the Empire, up
to the Crusades. The Isma'ili do fit into the paradigm better than
the rest. And this connects the Druzes, the Harranians, the Yezidis,
even, but there is a much more ancient sect, which can be seen to
have survived, from at least the First Century of the Common Era, and
undoubtedly even longer. That sect we shall deal with in the Fourth
Section of Qadosh: The Johannite Tradition (Ormus and the Grail
Chalice). A connecting link between all of these groups, however, is
the Ikhwan as-Safa, the Brethren of Purity.

The Brethren of Purity were established at Bosra, Syria. Some mistake
Bosra, Syria, with Basra, in Iraq, and this is a mistake. Bosra,
Syria, was an important Nabataean city, second in importance to
Damascus, at the time that the Nabataeans reached their highest
degree of power and influence, prior to the climatic changes that
caused their underground water supplies to diminish, and thereby
facilitated their demise as a world power. After that time, they
simply became known as Arabs. All this said, Bosra, sometimes spelled
Bostra, remained an important city, and an important stop on the
route between Damascus and Arabia, known to us as the Incense Road.

STEINSCHNEIDER AND THE BRETHREN OF PURITY.

In the 19th Century, the "Science of Judaism" went full bore, leading
to the creation of the Jewish Encyclopaedia. Today we know it as
Encyclopaedia Judaica, an excellent work if ever there was one. This
is one of the by-products of the tiresome labours of Illuminatus
Moses Mendelssohn, to be sure, but he is not the direct inspirer. It
can also be said to have been helped along by people like Franz
Joseph Molitor.

The credit is due, in a large part, to scholars like Moritz
Steinschneider (1816-1907). He is regarded as the greatest
bibliographer of Judaica in the 19th Century. In 1857, he published a
work in English, JEWISH LITERATURE FROM THE EIGHTH TO THE EIGHTEENTH
CENTURY. He is regarded as an authority by Bernard Martin (A HISTORY
OF JUDAISM, Volume II), by Gershom Scholem (MAJOR TRENDS IN JEWISH
MYSTICISM), and even by Arthur Edward Waite (HOLY KABBALAH), who says:

"The work of Dr. Moritz Steinschneider, the German bibliographer of
rabbinical literature, is the most important contribution to our
knowledge which has been made during comparatively recent years." --
Holy Kabbalah, p. 4(note 1).

This means, in so many words, that Waite considers Steinschneider to
be an authority. Maybe this matters little to us, what Waite's
opinion is or was, but it does bear Weight (pun may or may not be
intended). This has more importance to the interested scholar of the
subjects contained in the present work, than at first meets the eye.

What we are leading up to is a subject which lies at the core of
our "thesis", perhaps our "minor singular opinion" or "peculiar
notion", as to how the Authentic Tradition was preserved and
transmitted.

1. Steinschneider's JEWISH LITERATURE FROM THE EIGHTH TO EIGHTEENTH
CENTURIES is the authority.

2. The Brothers of Purity were an association (society,
incorporation) of Arabic Philosophers.
3. They established their association in the Tenth Century of the
Common Era.
4. The location was at Bosra, Syria, in the Hauran. This is a very
important area in our survey as a whole.
5. Their writings were studied by, in vogue among, and had an
influence upon, the Spanish Jews of the 12th Century.
6. They had special forms of Initiation, and have been regarded by
Steinschneider as a form of Freemasons.
Specific differences include:
1. Writins were mystical in nature (Mackey).
2. They were called "The Freemasons of Bosra" by Steinschneider
(Mackey).
3. Principles seem analogous to those of the Essenes (Mackenzie).
Where did he pick that up?
4. They studied and wrote much (Mackenzie).
All this nit-picking has a purpose. Recall our quote from Oliver's
LANDMARKS, in The Johannite Legend of the Templars, about the Syrian
Christians who were Freemasons, and about the Order of the Orient,
which was responsible for originating the Order of the Temple.
This may all seem to be the fanciful legends of High Grade
Freemasonry, to some, but... is it so? Before the Nusairis ended up
in Northern Syria (in the vicinity of Latakia), they were in the
Hauran region, in the area of Bosra. While the Druzes came at a time
concurrent with the Crusades, and the Yezidis really as such can be
dated after Sheikh 'Adi travelled to Lalish from Ba'albek, the
Nusairis were in Syria much longer. At around the Ninth Century of
the Common Era, they added the Isma'ili doctrine to their system,
which is a rather complex system. Prior to that, their system
included native Syrian and Phoenician cults, early primitive
Christian beliefs, Gnostic beliefs, and, much later, Islamic symbols
used to facilitate survival in hostile times. Their cultus can be
seen to have had an influence not only on their hated rivals the
Druzes, but on the Yezidis, as well as on the Harranian cultus. John
Yarker mentions them briefly in his Arcane Schools:

"Ainsarii. The Ishmaelite Sect continued to exist after the
destruction of the stronghold of the Old Man of the Mountain, as the
Chief of the Assassins was termed. The most prominent of these is
named the Ainsarii; they hold secret meetings for receptions and have
signs, words, and a Catechism. Lyde, who has investigated this Sect,
classes them with ancient Templars, and Modern Freemasons. [THE ASIAN
MYSTERY, Rev. C. L. Lyde.]" -- p. 187.

Mackey also mentions the Nusairi (Ansayreeh):

"Ansyreeh. A sect found in the mountains of Lebanon, of Northern
Syria. Like the Druses, toward whom, however, they entertain a
violent hostility, and the Assassins, they have a secret mode of
recognition and a secret religion, which does not appear to be well
understood by them. 'However,' says Rev. Mr. Lyde, who visited them
in 1852, 'there is one in which they all seem agreed, and which acts
as a kind of Freemasonry in binding together the scattered members of
their body, namely, secret prayers which are taught to every male
child of a certain age, and are repeated at stated times, in stated
places, and accompanied with religious rites.' The Ansyreeh arose
about the same time with the Assassins, and, like them, their
religion appears to be an ill-digested mixture of Judaism,
Christianity, and Mohammedanism. To the Masonic scholars these secret
sects of Syria present an interesting study, because of their
supposed connection with the Templars during the Crusades, the entire
results of which are yet to be investigated." -- I Mackey's 61b.

At the time that Mackey and Yarker wrote these little snippets,
several competent studies had been published by members of the
Société Asiatique, of France, from the 1820s on, throughout their
journal, the Journal Asiatique. We shall analyze in brief, one of
these in below. The secret prayers referred to by Mackey have been
given in the French articles.

Now, going back to the present subject of our survey, the Brethren of
Purity, it shall be seen that the Brethren of Purity had an influence
on the "Sabians" -- or Harranians, for much of the famed Picatrix
shows its debt of inheritance from the Rasa'il Ikhwan as Safa. From a
brief resumé of the contents of the PICATRIX, by one of its
translators (Martin Plessner), published on the Twilit Grotto
website, [http://www.esotericarchives.com/picatrix.htm],

"This manner of writing may well be intentional, whether to make the
magical sections appear less suspect by interlarding them with
theoretical passages, or to make certain doctrines seem less strange
by administering them in small doses, or to demonstrate the equal
validity of the magical and philosophical material, or for a
combination of all three reasons. At all events, a similar method of
presentation is apparent in one of the principle sources of The Aim
of the Sage, the encyclopedia of the Brethren of Purity [Ihwân al-
Safâ]."

The encyclopaedia of the Brethren of Purity had an influence on the
creation of the Picatrix, which has long been considered the
important work which was either a part of the corpus of materials
from the Harranian cultus, and/or that which had an influence upon
the Renaissance Magick which was to come about toward the end of the
15th Century c.e., in Europe. And,. before it reached Italy, Germany,
and France, it sojourned several centuries in Islamic Spain.
Therefore, the Picatrix is a very important work in the Authentic
Tradition, and may be considered one of the Great Books of the
Authentic Tradition. As to the Brethren of Purity, the most primary
of sources [Encyclopaedia Britannica, 14th Edition], tells us:
"Towards the close of the 10th century the presentation of an entire
scheme of knowledge, beginning with logic and mathematics, and
ascending through the various departments of physical enquiry to the
region of religious doctrine, was accomplished by a society which had
its chief seat at Basra [sic] , the native town of al-Kindi. This
society -- the Brothers of Purity or Sincerity (Ikhwªn us Safª'i) --
divided into four orders, wrought in the interests of religion no
less than of science; and though its attempt to compile an
encyclopaedia of existing knowledge may have been premature, it yet
contributed to spread abroad a desire for further information. The
proposed reconciliation between science and faith was not
accomplished, because the compromise could please neither party. The
51 treatises of which this encyclopaedia consists are interspersed
with apologues in true Oriental style, and the idea of goodness, of
moral perfection, is as prominent an end in every discourse as it was
in the alleged dream of al-Ma'mun. The materials of the work come
chiefly from Aristotle, but they are conceived of in a Platonizing
spirit, which places as the bond of all things a universal soul of
the world with its partial or fragmentary souls." -- EB-2:187a (14th
Ed., 1930).

Known as one of the Jewish people's greatest poets, Solomon Ibn
Gabirol's name and works are vital in the rites of today's synagogue.
One of the most important of Ibn Gabirol's liturgical works, Adon
Olam, is still chanted in Jewish prayer houses the world over during
both the Friday evening and Saturday morning Sabbath services. In
addition, selections from his poetry are recited as part of the Yom
Kippur liturgy, which is the most important holiday for observant
Jews. How many contemporary Jews realize that they spend part of this
essential Jewish holiday reciting Sufi-inspired odes, as they plead
with God for understanding and forgiveness? And his legacy within the
Jewish community has hardly been compromised by his Sufi leanings -
in fact, an important downtown Tel Aviv avenue bears his name!
While aspects of his biography are unclear, his profound indebtedness
to the Sufis is not. For Ibn Gabirol, the Sufi Way was as influential
as Jewish tradition itself. For instance, there are so many striking
parallels between earlier Sufi texts such as the Epistles of the
Brethren of Purity (Ikhwan as-Safa, penned in Baghdad, in the 9th
century) [2] and his ideas that one is forced to presume that, after
the Bible, this Muslim tract was his primary source of inspiration.
In Ibn Gabirol's work we can begin to see the earliest outline of
later Kabbalistic and Hasidic doctrines. Borrowing from his Islamic
mentors, Ibn Gabirol averred, for instance, that man was a microcosm
for God - that man's actions could, at their best, help complete
Godly ones. Though religious traditionalists of his day believed that
these ideas bordered on pantheism - and even heresy - later Jewish
mystics were captivated by the novel proposition. Additionally, many
of the terms that Ibn Gabirol borrowed from his Islamic mentors
became the basic building blocks of the Kabbalistic system. [3]
As scholar Peter Cole quickly limns the movement of God's energy
according to Ibn Gabirol, we can see how the ideas of earlier Sufi
thinkers such as Ibn Masarra, as- Suhrawardi, the Epistles of the
Brethren of Purity and others were wrapped in with the first faint
echoes of the Kabbalistic system and its Tree of Life:
"The conjunction of Universal Form and Matter gives rise to the
simple substances, including intellect, soul and nature, and the
chain of emanation extends down into the corporeal world and all its
parts. The emanation of divine energy Ibn Gabirol likens to light
from the sun - but not to the sun itself; or to intelligent acting in
the limbs of its body, but . . . to a fountain whose flow transcends
all temporal and spatial dimension. In this way the process of
creation is continuous and ongoing at all levels at all times in a
universal chain of transformation reaching from that pure source to
the lowest point of the cosmos and back up to its unknowable origin."

Rosicrucian
The Rosicrucian Order is a legendary and secretive Order dating from
the 15th or 17th century. It generally is associated with the symbol
of the Rose Cross, which is also found in certain rituals
beyond "Craft" or "Blue Lodge" Freemasonry. The Rosicrucian Order is
viewed among earlier and many modern Rosicrucianists as an inner
worlds Order, comprised of great "Adepts." When compared to human
beings, the consciousness of these Adepts is like that of demi-gods.
This "College of Invisibles" is regarded as the source permanently
behind the development of the Rosicrucian movement.
Several modern societies have been formed for the study of
Rosicrucianism and allied subjects. However, many researchers on the
history of Rosicrucianism argue that modern Rosicrucianists are in no
sense directly derived from the "Brethren of the Rose Cross" of the
17th century. Instead, they are considered to be keen followers.
Moreover, some have viewed the 17th century order as a literary hoax
or prank, rather than an operative society. Others contend that
history shows them to be the genesis of later operative and
functional societies.
The Rosicrucian greeting is, "May the Roses bloom upon your Cross."
Rosicrucian - Origins
According to a legend published in the 17th century Rosicrucian
manifestos, the Rosicrucian Order was founded in 1407 (the early 15th
century) by a German pilgrim named Christian Rosenkreuz (1378 -
1484), who studied in the Middle East under various occult masters.
During his lifetime, the Order was alleged to be small, consisting of
no more than eight members. When Rosenkreuz died in 1484, the Order
disappeared, only to be "reborn" in the early 17th century. Most
modern Rosicrucianists accept this legend to varying degrees. Some
accept it as literal truth, others see it as a parable, and yet
others believe Rosenkreuz to be a pseudonym for a more famous
historical figure, usually Francis Bacon.
According to a lesser known legend found in Masonic literature, the
Rosicrucian Order was created in year 46 when an Alexandrian Gnostic
sage named Ormus and his six followers were converted by one of
Jesus' disciples, Mark. From this conversion, Rosicrucianism was born
by fusing early Christianity with Egyptian mysteries. By this
account, rather than being its founder, Rosenkreuz would have been
initiated into and become the Grand Master of an already existing
Order.
According to Émile Dantinne (1884-1969), the origins of the
Rosicrucians may have an Islamic connection. As told in their first
manifesto Fama Fraternitatis (1614) (early 17th century) Christian
Rosenkreuz started his pilgrimage at the age of sixteen. This led him
to Arabia, Egypt and Morocco, where he was put into contact with the
sages of the East, who revealed to him the universal harmonic
science. After learning Arabic philosophy in Jerusalem, he was led to
Damcar. This place remains a mystery – it did not become Damascus,
but it is somewhere not too far from Jerusalem. Then he went to
Egypt , where he did not stay for long. Soon afterwards he embarked
to Fes, a center of philosophical and occultist studies, such as the
alchemy of Abu-Abdallah, Gabir ben Hayan, and Imam Jafar al Sadiq,
the astrology and magic of Ali-ash-Shabramallishi, and the esoteric
science of Abdarrahman ben Abdallah al Iskari. However, Dantinne
states that Rosenkreuz may have found his secrets amongst
the "Brethren of Purity," a society of philosophers that had formed
in Basra (Iraq) during the first half of the fourth century. Their
doctrine had its source in the study of the ancient Greek
philosophers, but it became more pronounced in a neo-Pythagorean
direction. They adopted the Pythagorean tradition of envisioning
objects and ideas in terms of their numeric aspects. Their theurgy
taught the divine and angelic names, conjurations, the Kabbalah,
exorcisms, and other related subjects.
The "Brethren of Purity" and the Sufis were united in many points of
doctrine. They both were mystical orders deriving from Koranic
theology, where dogma is supplanted by faith in the "Divine Reality."
Many similarities with the Rosicrucian way were expressed in the
manifestos and the "Brethen of Purity" ways of life as well. Neither
group wore special clothing, both practiced abstinence, they healed
the sick, and they offered their teachings free of charge.
Similarities also were evident in the doctrinal elements of their
theurgy and the story of Creation in terms of emanationism.
The curious legend in which the fabulous origin of the so-called
society was established was so improbable, though ingenious, that the
genesis of the Rosicrucians was generally overlooked or ignored in
the writings of the time. Christian Rosenkreuz had discovered and
learned the Secret Wisdom on a pilgrimage to the East in the 15th
century. The metaphorical quality of these legends lends to the
nebulous nature of the origins of Rosicrucianism. For example, the
opening of Rosenkreuz's tomb is thought to be only a way of referring
to the cycles in nature and to cosmic events.

Rosicrucian - History
It is on the foundation of these teachings that Rosenkreuz conceived
the plan for simultaneous and universal religious, philosophic,
scientific, political, and artistic reform. For the realization of
this plan, he united with several disciples (seven at first,
according to Fama Fraternitatis), to whom he gave the name of Rose-
Croix.
The founder of the Order of the Rose-Croix belonged, as affirmed by
historians, to a noble family, but there is no document that allows
us to affirm this peremptorily. However, it is certain that he was an
orientalist and a great traveler.
What was known in the early 17th century as the "Fraternity of the
Rose Cross" seems to have been a number of isolated individuals who
held certain views in common, which apparently was their only bond of
union. These views were regarding hermetic knowledge, related to the
higher nature of man, and also with common philosophical conceptions
towards the foundation of a more perfected human society. There is no
trace of a Fraternity or secret society which held meetings, or had
officers or leaders. So far, as many works are concerned, it is
evident that the writers who posed as Rosicrucians were moral and
religious reformers, and utilized the technicalities of chemistry
(alchemy), and the sciences generally, as media through which to
publicize their opinions and beliefs. Their writings included a hint
of mysticism or occultism, promoting inquiry and suggesting hidden
meanings discernible or discoverable only by "Adepts."
The publications of Fama Fraternitatis Rosae Crucis (1614), Confessio
Fraternitatis (1615), and Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz
(1616) caused immense excitement throughout Europe. These works
declared the existence of a secret brotherhood of alchemists and
sages who were interpreted as preparing to transform the arts,
sciences, religion, political, and intellectual landscape of Europe
while wars of politics and religion ravaged the continent. Not only
did these works lead to many re-issues, but they were followed by
numerous pamphlets, favourable and otherwise, whose authors generally
knew little of the real aims of the original author and often amused
themselves at the public's expense. According to historical records,
it is probable that the first work was circulated in manuscript form
about 1610, even though there was no mention of the order before that
decade. In fact, research indicates that all three documents probably
were the creation of Lutheran theologian Johann Valentin Andreae
(1586-1654). However, his authorship only is confirmed for the
Chymical Wedding, which he subsequently described as a Ludibrium. The
authors of the Rosicrucian works generally favoured Lutheranism as
opposed to Catholicism.
Around 1530, more than eighty years before the publication of the
first manifesto, documented evidence of the cross and the rose
already existed in Portugal in the Convent of the Order of Christ,
home of the Knights Templar, which later was renamed Order of Christ.
Three bocetes were, and still are, on the abóboda of the initiations'
room. In these cases, the rose can clearly be seen at the center of
the cross. At the same time, a minor writing by Paracelsus called
Prognosticatio Eximii Doctoris Paracelsi (1530) contained the image
of a double cross over an open rose, along with a written reference
to it. The occultist Stanislas de Guaita, "Au seuil du Mystère"
(1886), used Paracelsus' writing, and other examples, to prove
the "Fraternity of the Rose Cross" existed far earlier than 1614.

Iraeli Leaders Help Bush Launch Smear Campaign

Iraeli Leaders Help Bush Launch Smear Campaign

(Bush: Bush, king of Babylon, with Omar. Birthday party. Jewish Black
Panthers the Mizrahi Jews)

http://tinyurl.com/62t3wx

Bush launched a smear campaign against the Democrats and its
candidates, suggesting they would get chummy with terrorists.

Sephardic Jews in South Carolina backed the Revolt of Radical Rebels
who masscred all the males in Lawrence Kansas lest they vote for the
Abolitionists. Sephardic Jews supplied the Confederate Traitors with
arms shipped by the Dutch East Indies company who were in the slave
business with Sephardic Jews.

Non-religious Israeli leaders back the evangelical voting block that
put Bush in office, twice. These voters see black Democratic voters
as their enemy. Israel gave a platform to the racist neo-Confederate
core that makes up the false teaching of John Darby, so they can
undermine our two party system and install a one party eclesiasitcal
state that has a Zionist agenda in regards to the second coming of
their false Jesus.

I hereby delcare George Bush A TRAITOR to the United States, and the
Israeli leaders THE ENEMY of the United States.

Israel has helped the evangelicals do away with our Seperation of
Church and State, yet they practice apartide with religious and
ethnic peoples in Israel, amongst them, the Mizrahi Jews, the
Sepharid Jews who protested secular rule of the German Jews who
worked out alongside future Nazis in the Turner Socities. Israel was
not founded on religious principles!

Yesterday I discovered a HISTORIC JESUS who followed the Book of
Enoch and the Book of Jubilees which was at the core of the Essene
teaching. It appears Jesus was installing an ancient calendar that
reset the four corners of the earth that were tampered with,
resulting in the loss of God's established bounderies and kingdom,
causing Judea to fall into the might of the Roman Slave Empire.

My posts on the Jubilee Jesus are true prophecy, especially when I
have called for a New Exodus to America and the founding of a New
Israel within the borders of Texas, and perhaps, South Carolina.

I see a new nation formed on the border of Mexico.

The religious Jews still declare their holy men, a Messiah. The
reason the Jubilee Jesus was disapeared from world history, and the
early church canons, was because the Jews called him "Messiah".

Will Jesus establish the date of the RESTORED JUBILEE upon his
return? The Lord's Prayer is based upon the Jubilee when slaves are
stet free, and the Children of God are forgiven of their debts. This
prayer is the Anthem of the New Exodus.

Let my people be heard!

Bush tried to silnece the voice of a blacm man who is running for the
office of the United States - with no regard for the millions of
black people in America who for the most part are going to vote
against the Republican Evangelical Party.

Bush declared a Holy War from Israel against the Voice of the
Democratic Party.

The Truth will bring Bush low, and his false prophets, his Roman
slaver wolves in sheeps (Good Sherherd) clothing!

Amen!

From NBC's Domenico MontanaroSen. Joe Biden (D-DE), chairman of the
Senate Foreign Relations Committee absolutely tore into President
George W. Bush for his comments from Israel, which appeared to take a
swipe at Obama.

Bush said this morning, "Some seem to believe we should negotiate
with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will
persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this
foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939,
an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to
Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation
to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement."

An exasperated Biden skewered Bush over that in a conference call
with reporters, calling the comments "pure
politics," "blatant," "beneath the presidency," "truly
disgraceful," "outrageous," "disturbing," "ridiculous hypocrisy"
and "long-distance Swiftboating." He even said Bush "oughta get a
life."

"For this president to go on the attack against Barack Obama," Biden
said. "It cannot go unanswered." [Possible veep audition?]

Coupling Bush's comments with McCain's assertion that it's clear who
Hamas wants to be president, Biden said he sees "an ugly pattern
emerging."

He said the president should "get in touch with his administration."

"I assume he's going to fire his Secretary of State and Secretary of
Defense," Biden said. "They want engagement of Iran."

He went on. "This is the kind of political rhetoric which continues
to masquerade as policy," Biden said. "All they have is masquerades."

And… "This is why we're in the situation we're in," he said, as he
criticized Bush for "demonizing" Democrats.

Bush "should try to figure out how to dig us out of the God awful
hole this president has gotten us into." He added that when he
travels abroad, "I don't criticize the president" --no matter how
much they might disagree on various facets of foreign policy. In
fact, he said he has defended the president when abroad.
Biden also sharply criticized Bush's -- and John McCain's, for that
matter -- Mideast policy, or in McCain's case lack thereof, Biden
said. He called Bush's policy an "abject failure," "truly delusional"
and "backwards."
"The president's saber rattling has been the most self-defeating
policy imaginable … spurs instability in the Middle East … increase
in price of oil … plays into the hands of those Iranian leaders he
rails against.
"Since when, since when has talking removed no from the American
vocabulary.
More: "This is the same president, who talks about appeasement, the
same one who asks me to get on a plane and talk to Qaddafi," Biden
said. "The same president who made a deal with Qaddafi. He writes
letters, `Dear Mr. Chairman' to Kim Jong Il.
"He oughta get a life here … Under George W. Bush's watch, Iran, not
freedom has been on the march … They're a lot closer to the bomb… He
calls Maliki our guy … Whose policy produced that? Whose watch was
that? … Iran's proxy Hezbollah is on the ascendancy. Don't take my
word for it, look at NIE … Afghanistan, Pakistan, Al Qaeda is
stronger now.
"We should take zero backseat to this pres, talking about
appeasement. … Under him, Israel is less safe."
Biden also admitted to initially calling Bush's comments "bull----."
"I reacted viscerally," he said. "But the essence of what I said was
accurate. I should have said malarkey."

WASHINGTON -- Addressing the Israeli parliament, President Bush set
off a political firestorm today with an apparent criticism of Sen.
Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential hopeful, over his position
on negotiating with some dictatorships.Obama, who has pledged to talk
to regimes in Iran, Cuba and North Korea, promptly accused the Bush
White House of launching "a false political attack" for suggesting
such outreach amounts to appeasing dictators.

In a speech to Israel's Knesset marking the 60th anniversary of that
country's independence, Bush said, "Some seem to believe that we
should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some
ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all
along.""We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said. "As
Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator
declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this
might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it
is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly
discredited by history."Obama issued a statement calling it "sad"
that Bush used the speech to take a partisan shot. "George Bush knows
that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the
president's extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the
politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our
stalwart ally Israel," he said in a statement. The White House denied
that Bush was referring explicitly to the Illinois senator, insisting
that the speech was meant to respond to anyone who holds those views.

Former President Carter is among those who have advocated talks with
regimes.Noting that "many" have suggested such talks, White House
Press Secretary Dana Perino told reporters in Israel, "I understand
when you're running for office you sometimes think the world revolves
around you. That is not always true. And it is not true in this
case."Democrats, coalescing around Obama as their presidential
nominee, treated the president's remarks as the first salvo in the
general election.House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco)
criticized Bush and called on McCain to distance himself from the
president's remarks."We have a protocol, sort of a custom, informally
around here that we don't criticize the president when he is on
foreign soil. One would think that that would apply to the president
that he would not criticize Americans when he is on foreign soil,"
said Pelosi, who was criticized for taking a diplomatic mission to
Syria. "I think what the president said in that regard is beneath the
dignity of the office of the president and unworthy of our
representation at that observance in Israel.""I would hope that any
serious person would disassociate himself from the president's
remarks who aspires to leadership in our country."Senate Majority
Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), calling Bush "the engineer of the worst
foreign policy in our nation's history," called the statement
a "reckless and reprehensible round." Noting that the Bush
administration has negotiated with North Korea and Libya, two state
sponsors of terror, Reid call on the White House to "explain the
inconsistency" between word and action.Senate Foreign Relations
Committee Chairman Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) said Bush's remarks
were "bull----, ... malarkey. This is outrageous, for the president
of the United States to go to a foreign country, to sit in the
Knesset ... and make this kind of ridiculous statement."And Rep. Rahm
Emanuel (D-Ill.), chair of the House Democratic caucus, issued a
statement noting that traditionally, "when a U.S. president is
overseas, partisan politics stops at the water's edge. President Bush
has now taken that principle and turned it on its head:

For this White House, partisan politics now begins at the water's
edge, no matter the seriousness and gravity of the occasion. Does the
president have no shame?"In Columbus, Ohio, Republican John McCain
said he took the White House at its word that the president was not
referring to Obama, but also criticized Obama for his stance."It
shows naivete and inexperience," McCain told reporters. Noting that
Obama has said he is willing to sit down with regimes not friendly
with the United States, McCain said, "My question is, what does he
want to talk about?"

And Sen. Joe Lieberman, an Independent from Connecticut and a staunch
McCain supporter, said that Bush "got it exactly right today when he
warned about the threat of Iran and its terrorist proxies like Hamas
and Hezbollah. It is imperative that we reject the flawed and naive
thinking that denies or dismisses the words of extremists and
terrorists." Lieberman, the Democrats' 2000 vice presidential
candidate, added, "It is critical to our national security that our
commander in chief is able to distinguish between America's friends
and America's enemies, and not confuse the two."And Perino insisted
that the speech only reflected Bush administration policy. The speech
was not about '08 politics," she said. "If they want to try to make
it about '08 politics -- and obviously be helped by the media -- so
be it. But ... this is a long-established policy that he has held and
that he has talked about all over the world...It's not going to
change now."> >

Many speakers, especially in Israel, identify all non-Ashkenazi Jews
as Sephardim. The reason for this classification is that most Mizrahi
communities use much the same religious rituals as Sephardim proper.
In the same way, "Ashkenazim" is used for "Jews of the German rite",
whether or not they originate from Germany. This broader definition
of "Sephardim" as applying to all Mizrahi Jews is also common in
Jewish religious circles, especially those associated with the Shas
political party.

Additionally, many of the Sephardic Jews exiled from Spain resettled
in small and large numbers in Arabic-speaking countries such as Syria
and Morocco. In Syria, for example, most eventually intermarried with
and assimilated into the larger established community of Arabic-
speaking Jews. While in Morocco, where they came to outnumber the pre-
existing Arab and Berber Jews, it was some of the latter that
assimilated into the more prosperous and prestigious Sephardic
community. Either way, it led to the popular designation and
conflation of most non-Ashkenazic Jewish communities from the Middle
East and North Africa as "Sephardic", whether or not they are
actually descended from Spanish Jews, which is what the
terms "Sephardic Jews" and "Sepharadim" refer to in the ethnic as
opposed to the religious sense.
In many Arab countries, older Arabic-speaking communities
distinguished between themselves and the newer arrivals speaking
Judeo-Romance languages, that is, Sephardim expelled from Spain in
1492 and Portugal in 1497. The established Arabic-speaking Jews
called themselves Musta'arabim (Arabic for Arabizers), while the
newer Sephardi arrivals called them Moriscos (Ladino for Moorish).

The movement began early in 1971 in Mosrara neighborhood of
Jerusalem, in reaction to perceived discrimination against Mizrahi
Jews, which they considered to have existed since the establishment
of the state. The Black Panthers felt that this discrimination could
be seen in the different attitude of the Ashkenazi Establishment
towards the olim from the Soviet Union. The movement's founders
protested "ignorance from the establishment for the hard social
problems", and wanted to fight for a different future.

In the beginning of March 1971, the Israeli police denied the Black
Panthers a permit for a demonstration; the Panthers ignored this
decision and proceeded with the demonstration illegally, protesting
the distress of the poverty, the gap between poor and rich in Israel,
and the ethnic tensions within Jewish Israeli society. The movement
successfully built a base of supporters, both in the public and in
the media.

On May 18, 1971, "The Night of the Panthers", between 5,000 and 7,000
demonstrators gathered in Zion Square in Jerusalem in a militant
protest against the racial discrimination. The demonstrators even
demanded to change the name of the square to Kikar Yehadut HaMizrakh
(Eastern Jewry Square). This demonstration was also held without
police permission. The security forces which came to disperse the
demonstration encountered an angry mob who threw stones and Molotov
cocktails. Both police and demonstrators were injured in the clash;
20 were hospitalized, and 74 demonstrators were arrested by the
police.

Prior to the demonstration, representatives of the Panthers had met
April 13 with Prime Minister Golda Meir, who characterized them
as "not nice people". She saw the leaders of the movement as
lawbreakers and refused to recognize them as a social movement. The
violent protest of May 18 brought the government to discuss seriously
the Panthers' claims and a public committee was established to find a
solution.

According to the conclusions of that committee, discrimination did
exist against many levels in society. Following this, the budgets of
the offices dealing with social issues were enlarged significantly.
However, the Yom Kippur War soon changed the government's list of
priorities, and most of these resources were turned, again, towards
security needs.

Hillary Defends Hagee

Hillary Defends Hagee

http://rougeknights.blogspot.com/

Still playing to those Bible-Pounding, Gun-Loven, Good Ol' Democratic
Boys in Kentucky, Hillary Clinton said that Hagee may have had a
point about God using Hitler as a tool.

"Take Obama! God may have wanted a black man to run as a Presidential
candidate, and that is why God allowed the Black Holocaust - but, it
doesn't mean He wanted a black man to BE the President of the United
States, if you catch my drift!"

Hillary let out a wicked chortal, and the room of Kentucky Bluebloods
joined her in a round of belly-aching laughter!

McCain Rejects Hagee Backing as Nazi Remarks Surface

By Michael Luo

SAN JOSE—Senator John McCain rejected the endorsement on Thursday of
the evangelical leader, the Rev. John C. Hagee, three stormy months
after it was first announced as part of an effort to shore up Mr.
McCain's standing among Christian conservatives.

The Rev. John C. Hagee (Photo: Béatrice de Géa for The New York Times)

The rejection of Mr. Hagee's endorsement occurred after another
controversial sermon from the televangelist and pastor of
Cornerstone, a mega-church in San Antonio, surfaced in which he
argued that biblical verses made clear that Adolf Hitler and the
Holocaust was part of God's plan to chase the Jews from Europe and
drive them to Palestine.

"Obviously, I find these remarks and others deeply offensive and
indefensible," Mr. McCain said in a statement Thursday. "I did not
know of them before Reverend Hagee's endorsement, and I feel I must
reject his endorsement as well."

Audio of the latest controversial sermon by Mr. Hagee, from the late
1990s, was first posted last week by the Web site, Talk to Action,
which scrutinizes the Christian right, and then reported by the
Huffington Post. Mr. Hagee quoted from the Old Testament Book of
Jeremiah, Mr. Hagee said in his sermon, according to the Huffington
Post, "And they the hunters should hunt them," arguing this referred
to "the Jews."

He went on to read from the same passage, "From every mountain and
from every hill and from out of the holes of the rocks."

"If that doesn't describe what Hitler did in the Holocaust, you can't
see that," Mr. Hagee said.
At roughly the same time Mr. McCain's campaign issued a statement
repudiating Mr. Hagee on Thursday, Mr. Hagee himself put out a
statement saying he had withdrawn his endorsement of Mr. McCain.

"Ever since I endorsed John McCain for president, people seeking to
attack Senator McCain have combed my records for statements they can
use for political gain," Mr. Hagee said. "They have had no qualms
about grossly misrepresenting my position on issues most near and
dear to my heart if it serves their political ambitions. I am tired
of these baseless attacks and fear that they have become a
distraction in what should be a national debate about important
issues. I have therefore decided to withdraw my endorsement of
Senator McCain for President effective today, and to remove myself
from any active role in the 2008 campaign."

Prior to its repudiation of Mr. Hagee's endorsement on Thursday, the
McCain campaign had already endured a series of other disclosures of
controversial past statements from Mr. Hagee about his views of
Catholics, especially, as well as Jews.

Mr. McCain subsequently distanced himself from Mr. Hagee, saying he
did not endorse all the views of his endorsers and condemned any of
Mr. Hagee's views that were offensive to Catholics. Mr. Hagee also
sought to make amends with Catholics, who represent a crucial swing
constituency in the general election.

The latest remarks from Mr. Hagee to surface strike at the heart of
Mr. McCain's efforts to reach another critical group, Jews, who have
viewed Mr. McCain's likely Democratic opponent, Senator Barack Obama,
with suspicion.

Mr. Hagee's controversial views are explained in part by his
adherence to what is known in evangelical circles as
dispensationalism, a literalistic approach to biblical prophecy that
places a special emphasis on the role of the nation of Israel in the
end of history.
Dispensationalists, who scholars say likely represent a vocal but
small faction of evangelicals, believe that Israelites' return to the
promised land are a requirement of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Mr. McCain's advisers have admitted they did not vet Mr. Hagee's
background enough, although they began seeking his endorsement more
than a year ago.

Mr. McCain has a rocky history with evangelicals, having once called
the Rev. Jerry Falwell and the Rev. Pat Robertson "agents of
intolerance." Many evangelicals, who were crucial to President Bush's
re-election in 2004, remain skeptical of Mr. McCain, with many
Republican leaders fretting they will not turn out for him this fall.

Mr. Obama, of course, has had his own troubles with regard to
religious leaders, drawing fire for the controversial remarks of his
former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Mr. McCain sought to distinguish his ties to Mr. Hagee from Mr.
Obama's with Mr. Wright in his statement, saying: "I have said I do
not believe Senator Obama shares Reverend Wright's extreme views. But
let me also be clear, Reverend Hagee was not and is not my pastor or
spiritual advisor, and I did not attend his church for twenty years.
I have denounced statements he made immediately upon learning of
them, as I do again today."

My Prophetic Hagee Posts

My Prophetic Hagee Posts

On March 2, 2008, I posted a decree that cast John Hagee out of the
Church. I say that an "angel" bid me to do this.

In a post on August 2, 2006, I ask this question;

"Is Bin Laden preparing the way for the Lord's Wrath and Tribulation?"

Here are my Hagee posts. Scroll down to see older ones.

Hagee is a believer in Replacement Theology that replaces Jews as
God's "chosen people" with Gentiles, Evangelcial-Jews. This is what I
have been fighting for twenty years.

The WatchmanRecorded live on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) at
Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, this album will bring you
into a new place of worship as you celebrate God's call of
preparation for the days ahead. The message of Ezekiel 3:17 flows
throughout the 13 songs found on The Watchman including "Lord God Of
Abraham," "Adonai," "Shema" and "Holy Holy Holy." The Watchman is an
important album for a time such as this.Hagee believes that the
Antichrist will be fatally wounded by describing how "one of its
heads seemed to have received a death blow" (Rev.13:3). With this
death blow the AntiChrist will fall to Hades. In Hell, the Antichrist
will make a deal with Satan who in turn will send him back to earth.
The Antichrist will be miraculously healed in front of the whole
world who watch in awe, thus increasing his hold over all the
nations. In this area Hagee fails to see the historical background of
this passage in Revelation. A more analytical interpretation shows
that the author of Revelation was referring to Emperor Nero who
committed suicide in 68 C.E. It was a wide spread belief that Nero
would return from the dead. It is obvious that Hagee totally
disregards the historical circumstances in which this passage was
written for.ReligionSee other Religion ArticlesTitle: An Observer at

Observer at Christian Zionist Leader John Hagee's Cornerstone
ChurchBy Rev. Art Preisinger, Institute for the Study of Christian
Zionism, November 26, 2006If John Hagee's "Night to Honor Israel"
extravaganza is any indication, Christian Zionism is a misnomer. From
happy-clappy Jewish praise music, to love songs crooned to and about
Israel, to a kitschy Hava Nagila; from invocations and benedictions
that turn out to be sermons; from Muslim-bashing to Israel lauding;
from dramatic processions to keynote addresses; from offerings taken
and offerings given -- there was not a shred, a trace, a scintilla of
Christianity in the proceedings. It could well have been sponsored by
the PTA or the Rotary Club.Of course, if Hagee wants to honor Israel
and give it gobs of non-governmental funds that is certainly his
privilege. But to promote this under the aegis of "Christian" is,
frankly, fraudulent. But the "Night to Honor Israel" was worse than a
fraud -- it was idolatrous, and this in two ways.

First, what was worshiped was the state of Israel, and more
particularly, Jerusalem. Select passages culled from the Hebrew
Bible, referring to Israel's "right" to the land -- all of Palestine -
- and an undivided Jewish Jerusalem were repeated again and again ad
nauseam. What was not quoted were those passages that speak of the
obligation to do justice and practice mercy.Part of the problem is in
the word "prophecy." Christian Zionists, as well as most
fundamentalists and millennialists, use that word almost exclusively
as a means to understand present, and predict future, events. [Jewish
understanding of "prophecy" also differ from Christian Zionists.]
Contemporary events, seen through the spectacles of "prophecy," lead
to "Rapture" and "Tribulations" and "Second Comings" and "Armageddon."

Biblical passages are interpreted to coincide with that scenario. On
the other hand, prophecy in its initial sense is a human agent (the
prophet) who speaks God's word for a particular existential
situation. Christian Zionists would be well-advised, for example, to
read the book of the prophet Amos as a corrective to these skewed
interpretations of various passages often quoted from Ezekiel.
Daniel, and Revelation.Second, the adulation of John Hagee, as one
who is becoming the most important leader of contemporary Christian
Zionism, if not idolatry, comes awfully close to it. This cult of the
personality was most striking at the "Night." David Brog, Executive
Director of CUFI [Christians United for Israel] extolled the virtues
of Hagee in the words, "Pastor John Hagee is not an important man.
Pastor John Hagee is a great man!" With the cheering and clapping and
whistling and stomping of feet and raised arms of the 3000 disciples
at this announcement, I was reminded of Leni Riefenstahl's film,
Triumph of the Will, about the Nuremberg rallies in Nazi Germany.
Hitler had his Goebbels; Hagee has his Brog.Interspersed with
religious rant from misinterpreted Hebrew Scriptures (the New
Testament was not mentioned once, nor was Jesus; God got a tip of the
hat only occasionally) was political bombast. This was supplied by
Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice President of the Conference of
Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations. Two things were most
disturbing: the advocation of violence and the racism of the
Christian Zionist movement. Time and again Hoenlein, as well as
Hagee, called for the bombing and possible invasion of Iran.
Diplomacy is not an option since it simply conveys weakness to the
300 million (count `em) Muslim terrorists who "hate freedom" (that
old canard) and who, if not stopped in Iran, will eventually come to
our shores with suitcases full of nuclear bombs. What is inherent in
this scenario is the racism that declares the superiority of the West
and western culture over against the East (read Middle East). And
that racism is Manichaean -- in stark terms "they" are evil, "we" are
good (so Hoenlein). The good must not only defend itself against the
evil, it must wipe it out; it must obliterate it.Finally, I am struck
by the fact that throughout the speeches and the hoopla the centuries-
old complaint of Jewish victimhood was juxtaposed with Israeli
military triumph (also of the will), which (God?) will grant Israel.
Victim or conqueror: You can't have it both ways.Hagee closed his
speech with "God bless Israel and God bless the United States of
America." Implied is "and God damn all those who are not
us."Christian ZionistsFundamentalist Christians' support of Israel

an announcement suggested that more people were in a second room.

for Palestinian StateAugust 2, 2007. More than 30 prominent
evangelical Christians have sent a letter to President George Bush
supporting a Palestinian state as part of a two-state Middle East
peace settlement. The letter comes ten days after the leading
Christian Zionist group, Christians United for Israel (CUFI),
convened in Washington and denounced Bush's new initiative on Israeli-
Palestinian peace. Obliquely referring to CUFI in their letter, the
evangelicals said it was "a serious misperception...that all American

The Rev. Ted Haggard, president of the evangelical association,
insists the inaction is not a criticism of Israel, but reflects a new
caution about the risks for Christians living in Muslim countries.
After the Sept. 11 attacks, American evangelicals came out strongly
against terrorists, with some calling Islam a violent religion. That
created a backlash overseas.Haggard said Israeli embassy officials
called him several times a day during the first two weeks of the
conflict, asking for a public expression of support. He declined."Our
silence is not a rejection of Israel or even a hesitation about
Israel. Our silence is to try to protect people," said Haggard,
pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. "There's a
rapidly growing evangelical population in virtually every Islamic
country. Much of it is underground in the countries that are more
radicalized, and many of the Christians survive based on their
neighbors just ignoring the fact that they don't go to
mosque."Christian Zionists, mostly from the United States, are trying
to throw their weight behind one of the parties, in effect calling
for the continuation of the war and carnage in Lebanon.A small
minority of evangelical Christians have entered the Middle East
political arena with some of the most un-Christian statements I have
ever heard. The latest gems come from people like Pat Robertson, the
founder and chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Network, and Rev.
John Hagee of Christians United for Israel.Hagee, a popular
televangelist who leads the 18,000-member Cornerstone Church in San
Antonio, Texas ratcheted up his rhetoric this year with the
publication of his book, "Jerusalem Countdown," in which he argues
that a confrontation with Iran is a necessary precondition for
Armageddon (which will mean the death of most Jews, in his eyes) and
the Second Coming of Christ. In the best-selling book, Hagee insists
that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive military
strike against Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the
West. Shortly after the book's publication, he launched Christians
United for Israel (CUFI), which, as the Christian version of the
powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee, he said would
cause "a political earthquake." With the outbreak of the war on
Lebanon, he and others have called to their followers to pray for
Israel, and for the continuation of the war on Lebanon. They have
demanded that Israel not relent in what they call the need to destroy
Hezbollah and Hamas. They seem to have completely forgotten the very
core of the Christian faith.I have been watching many American
evangelicals trying to distance themselves from the calls in the name
of the Almighty for the war to continue. As Christian leaders of all
persuasions, including leaders of evangelical churches, are calling
for Mideast peace and an immediate cease-fire, these Christian
Zionists want their followers to pray only for Israel. One e-mail
message that was making the rounds came from a prominent US
evangelical Christian totally upset with an interview that Pat
Robertson gave to the Jerusalem Post. In it, Robertson appears more
pro-Israeli than the Israelis themselves and expresses anger at the
notion that Israelis might not completely finish off Hezbollah - a
task that he somehow sees as God's will. The author of the above-
mentioned e-mail message, Serge Duss of World Vision, a Christian
relief organization, called the Robertson interview "a perversion of
the Gospel of Jesus." Duss writes that he is sure that many
evangelicals strongly disagree and would gladly refute Robertson's
distorted theology.

"The Pretendrs are the Jews, Mr. Brooks. These Nazis are the real
Jews."

The Nazis are the real Jews! This is craziness. Call my lawyer He's

"There's no way out of this contract because Mr. Hagee made you sign
it with the blood of the apostles that is carried by the Great Whore
of Babylon.

"The who? The great what?"

"You're only hope is if you can turn `The Pretenders' into a parady,
like you did with `The Producers'. If you can get the people to laugh
at these Nazi Replacement Jews, then there is hope for you."

"Laugh!? If I put pig ears on Hagee, maybe I get a laugh"

"That's it. Now you'r cooking Mr. Brooks"

"Yes.Yes! I'm having a vision. Call up Bernadotte Peters. She'll make

"Yes Sir!"

"And get me some computer animations guys. I want them to create the

Replacement Theology

http://www.gotquestions.org/replacement-theology.html

http://www.cufi.org/site/PageServer?pagename=events_honor_israel

Question: "What is replacement theology?"Answer: Replacement Theology
essentially teaches that the church has replaced Israel in God's
plan. Adherents of Replacement Theology believe the Jews are no
longer God's chosen people, and God does not have specific future
plans for the nation of Israel. All the different views of the
relationship between the church and Israel can be divided into two
camps: either the Church is a continuation of Israel (Replacement
Theology / Covenant Theology), or the Church is completely different
and distinct from Israel (Dispensationalism /
Premillennialism).Replacement Theology teaches that the Church is the
replacement for Israel and that the many promises made to Israel in
the Bible are fulfilled in the Christian Church, not in Israel. So,
the prophecies in Scripture concerning the blessing and restoration
of Israel to the Promised Land are "spiritualized" or "allegorized"
into promises of God's blessing for the Church. Major problems exist
with this view, such as the continuing existence of the Jewish people
throughout the centuries and especially with the revival of the
modern state of Israel. If Israel has been condemned by God, and
there is no future for the Jewish nation, how do we explain the
supernatural survival of the Jewish people over the past 2000 years
despite the many attempts to destroy them? How do we explain why and
how Israel reappeared as a nation in the 20th century after not
existing for 1900 years? The view that Israel and the Church are
different is clearly taught in the New Testament. In this view, the
Church is completely different and distinct from Israel, and the two
are never to be confused or used interchangeably. We are taught from
Scripture that the Church is an entirely new creation, that came into
being on the Day of Pentecost, and will continue until it is
translated to heaven at the Rapture (Ephesians 1:9-11; 1
Thessalonians 4:13-17). The Church has no relationship to the curses
and blessings for Israel. The covenants, promises, and warnings are
valid only for Israel. Israel has been temporarily set aside in God's
program during these past 2,000 years of dispersion. After the Rapture
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18), God will restore Israel as the primary
focus of His plan. The first event at this time is the Great
Tribulation (Revelation chapters 6-19). The world will be judged for
rejecting Christ, while Israel is prepared through the trials of the
Great Tribulation for the Second Coming of the Messiah. Then when
Christ does return to the earth, at the end of the Tribulation,
Israel will be ready to receive Him. The remnant of Israel which
survives the Tribulation will be saved and the Lord will establish
His kingdom on this earth with Jerusalem as its capital. With Christ
reigning as King, Israel will be the leading nation, and
representatives from all nations will come to Jerusalem to honor and
worship the King—Jesus Christ. The Church will return with Christ and
will reign with Him for a literal thousand years (Revelation 20:1-
5).Both the Old Testament and the New Testament support a
Premillennial / Dispensational understanding of God's plan for
Israel. Even so, the strongest support for Premillennialism is found
in the clear teaching of Revelation 20:1-7, where it says, six times,
that Christ's kingdom will last 1,000 years. After the Tribulation
the Lord will return and establish His kingdom with the nation of
Israel, Christ will reign over the whole earth and Israel will be the
leader of the nations. The Church will reign with Him for a literal
thousand years. The church has not replaced Israel in God's plan.
While God may be focusing His attention primarily on the church in
this dispensation of grace, God has not forgotten Israel, and will
one day restore Israel to His intended role for the nation He has
chosen (Romans chapter 11).Recommended Resource: Dispensationalism by

Dr. John Hagee, the American evangelical pastor who last month
announced plans for a Christian-style AIPAC, says the organization is
a "canopy group" encompassing Christian supporters of Israel from
across America and is coming together "with a speed and harmony I
never would have believed possible."

Hagee says he attempted something similar, though on a smaller scale,
25 years ago, but to no avail. "I called 30 pastors together... At
the end of the first hour, I lost 29 of them." Now, by contrast, "I
called 400 [pastors] and all 400 have agreed to participate in
Christians United for Israel."

The San Antonio, Texas-based Hagee specifies three primary aims for
the group: one, to unite Christian supporters of Israel to
speak "with one voice for a common cause"; two, to establish a "rapid
response" capability that can flood Capitol Hill with e-mails, faxes
and phone calls at short notice on issues of concern to Israel; and
three, to organize "Night to Honor Israel" events in every major US
city "so that the Jewish people can see and feel Christians
expressing the love of God to them without a hidden agenda."

The new initiative by Hagee, who has collected and distributed
millions of dollars to Israeli causes over the past 25 years, raises
questions about what precisely he means by "support for Israel" and
whether there are conditions for that support. In an interview with
The Jerusalem Post, he said "Christians United for Israel is
completely loyal to the positions of the Bible" and that he does not
seek to influence the Israeli government or to support political
candidates in Israel or America. But that "loyalty" to the Bible, in
his interpretation, for instance, means not backing the relinquishing
of biblical territory.

It's an apparent contradiction that he reconciled as follows: "The
Bible says that God gave the Jewish people this sacred land. 'It's
yours. Don't give it away. If you choose to give it away, that's your
business. We're still friends, although we feel you make the wrong
choice. I wouldn't stop supporting Israel because of your choice.'"

Interviewed by the Post at the recent AIPAC national convention in
Washington, DC, where he was warmly received by many delegates, Hagee
also carefully explained his thinking on the incendiary issue of
evangelical attitudes to Jews and Judaism.

In precise and deliberate language, flavored with a rich, deep Texas
drawl, he asserted that a growing majority of evangelical leaders do
not preach "replacement theology, which teaches that the Church has
replaced Israel" and the Jews "have no future in the plan of God."
The vast majority of evangelicals, rather, teach that "the Christians
have a Bible mandate to be supportive of Israel and the Jewish people
without a hidden agenda."

True to that interpretation, Hagee said, "I do not target Jews for
conversion."
Nonetheless, he stressed, "If you come into my church [of your own
volition], you are asking to hear my witness of Jesus Christ and
you're going to get it, wide open."
In your conception, how should a Christian support Israel?

We began to actively support Israel 25 years ago when the American
media responded hatefully toward Israel when the IDF blew up the
nuclear reactor in Iraq. The media in America was extremely fierce
against Israel, and I felt that Israel had done the world a great
favor. I proposed to my congregation and the pastors of San Antonio
that we gather all the Christians of our city and go down town to the
city auditorium and have a "Night to Honor Israel" to show support
for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people.
I had a meeting with [members of] the local Jewish Federation, who
were very concerned about hidden agendas. It took four lengthy
committee meetings to convince them there was no hidden agenda or
ulterior purpose. On the night of the event the auditorium was
packed. We had our choir, our orchestra, and our television cameras
so that we could show the event across the nation. It was a wonderful
celebration of unity between Christians and Jews.
Just at the end of the celebration there was a threat on the
building, to blow it up. While [San Antonio] Rabbi [Aryeh] Sheinberg
was praying, the security came to me and said "this building is
supposed to blow up in about five minutes."
I went to the microphone when the rabbi finished and said, "I hate to
end such a wonderful night on a negative note, but we have a threat
on this building."
And the Christians left that building instantly, because they had
never experienced such a threat. The Jewish people flipped their
hands and just kept on talking.
On the way home, I told my wife that "if the anti-Semites think they
can silence us with a threat, they are mistaken. I'm going to do this
until they get used to it."
So 25 years later, we're continuing to do "A Night to Honor Israel,"
only now we're doing it over live national television so the world
can experience it as it goes across America and into 126 countries.
Hagee's "Night to Honor Israel" is a non-conversionary event. We do
not target Jewish people for conversion. If a Jewish person comes to
me and asks me about my faith, I am under a Bible mandate to tell him
about my faith. If he accepts or rejects my faith, it does not
enhance nor depreciate that person in my view. From that point we
agree to go forward in mutual esteem working on behalf of Israel. All
Christians are under a Bible mandate to be supportive of Israel and
to be supportive of the Jewish people.
If somebody outside the "Night to Honor Israel" framework comes to
you [to inquire about Christianity], what do you do?
We give them our entire testimony and biblical explanation of our
faith.
Again outside the "Night to Honor Israel" framework, do you target
Jews for conversion?
When I open the doors of Cornerstone Church, 5,000 people fill the
auditorium. As I present the gospel message, I don't know if you're
Muslim, Hindu, Pentecostal, Baptist, Catholic or Jewish. If you come
into Cornerstone Church, you are asking to hear my witness of Jesus
Christ and the Cross as the way to redemption, and you're going to
get that message, wide open.
