Health and Safety applied to carving

Hello everyone,

Recently, I have been involved in developing the Health & Safety section for
my website and was wondering if it could be of any interest to anybody.
The main subject of the tutorial is not only about how to carve, but it also
covers the Health and Safety side of carving. What I have done is to adapt
what I have learn in the Construction Industry from my day-job into any
carving activity.
The whole tutorial is about 30 pages long and it could maybe help someone
who would like to learn how H&S can be applied to most aspects of our
artistic career.

Take care & be safe
Frederic

Re: Health and Safety applied to carving

you may have to scroll to the right - it's a very wide page - I don't see a specific link to the page itself -

Re: Health and Safety

That sounds great Frederic...maybe if I had a copy close by I’d pay more
attention and start practicing what I preach. I know I take more risks than
I should, and am probably unaware of a great deal to start with. Sounds
great!

Roughing out instruction videos

A beginner friend of mine wants to know if there are any good video
tutorials on techniques for roughing out a largish piece of marble. I
could spend time teaching him but I prefer that he spend time learning
for himself initially.
Any suggestions for web links?
Thanks, Jeff

Re: Roughing out instruction videos

Probably / may be not a good example for you but I made 4 video's of a
sculptor from Zimbabwe during the proces of making a piece "as they go
about"
Its not in marble and only handtools are used but if you want to have a
glance............
This is part one
